Most overrated bands of all time
Well, over in the "Greatest Albums Ever" topic, we started talking about Nirvana is overrated, so I decided to make a topic talking about the most overrated bands of all time. So tell me who you think are the most overrated albums evers, and if you disagree with somebody's choices, go ahead and tell everybody.

I agree with all of those (especially Nirvana). Most people don't say Simon and Garfunkle, but I never like them either

Well, they are my kind of music, although I try to be open to all kinds of music. I think Queen is alittle overrated, I just don't really like them much....

STP and Metallica. Nirvana released really really good singles, but the rest of their albums weren't that great, so yeah, overrated.

A lot of current musicians on the radio today. I thought Creed was overrated. I find Nickelback overrated. But, you're talking to the guy who won't join Gmail because he thinks they're overhyped, so what do I know?

Queen -TOO BLOATED CHEESY LYRICS
PINK FLOYD - again, too bloated, songs tend to meander, very pompous sounding
Radiohead - One dimensional emotionally, no spirit or real power, don't have that many really memorable songs for such a critically acclaimed band
AC/DC - stop rewind stop rewind stop rewind repeat for 25 years +
The Who - kickass in the 60s, lost their cool in the 70s, succumbing to 70s big guitar cliches
Elvis Presley - Some really yucky songs, and gets the credit that was due to the old blues fellows! Too establishment to be "the king of rock and roll"

Floyd were good in the 60s then Syd Barrett left and they became too self-important

I guess you got some points. But, I'm just not a music buff, I just listen to it for fun. Coincidentally, I listen to these two bands for the same reasons... only... different. When I'm kind of depressed and I'm fine with it, some Radiohead stuff is good to go with. When I'm kind of depressed and look to get rockin', AC/DC is the place to go. Back in Black gets me pumped.
