Even though it had the same routine and boring choreography...
...That was fucking hot. She was enthusiastic, smiling and killing it. I got chills. Wow.

Re: Britney Spears - #1 Billboard 100, second time in her career
She did a great job tonight. X-factor performance was stripped down from the Euro ones but was by far the best.
That said, the lip-syncing is BOUND to get them in shit as both Miley Cyrus and Britney lipped tonight...and people are saying Britney did a great job but theres an equal amount of people outraged that she didnt bother mentoring or even singing, especially with Alexandra absolutely killed Toxic and Listen in the same night.

This does not bode well for my death pool 2008.
Get her hooked on heroin, somebody.

Re: Britney Spears - #1 Billboard 100, second time in her career
Big shitstorm from her G-A-Y appearance The club let too many people in, before britney even appeared they were dragging people from the front so they wouldnt get crushed to death and people were fainting left right and center.
In the end management deemed it unsafe for Britney to appear so instead a few people managed to sing happy birthday to her up on the balcony she was on and they gave her a circus themed cake.
But the thousands who crammed into the stage room booed and hissed Brit for not performing. That said, from the reports, if she DID perform it would have been very dangerous.
Im sure the media will spin this in a very negative light, a lot of her PR in the UK for X-Factor and this have been negative, claiming shes a huge diva, and no doubt we will see backlash for the lip-syncing.
I feel it did more to damage her image than confirm it. That said, Womanizer has rocketed back up the itunes charts....

I'm really disapointed that Amnesia isn't on the album. It's such an interesting hybrid type song. Is it a sample of an older 1960s song? because I definitely get that vibe from it.
Mmm Papi has grown on me, too. I can picture it on a Tarantino soundtrack, it remindes me of Kill Bill for some reason.

Yeah, Mmm Papi has grown on me. It's like Hot As Ice for me. I hated Hot As Ice at first, but now I really enjoy it.

A friend of mine finds Amnesia to be the best song on the album, even though it's not an official cut. Seems like people are worming up to Amnesia a lot. Maybe Brit pulls a RiRi and after eight singles the deluxe edition of Circus comes ou with Amnesia as an official cut and it gets out as a single.

Well Amnesia is an official Bonus Track outside the US. It is one of my favorites from the album, if not my favorite.
I know what you mean about the hybrid sound too Cotton. I don't think it samples any one song specifically, but just goes for a 60's piano bounce.

I love Quicksand and would put it somewhere in the top too. Bonus tracks are not throwaways and are surprisingly much better than most of the official tracks.

Yes. I have been thinking that for some time now. Trouble is probably my second fav after Amnesia. I love the Get Together sample, and her vocals are so lively in it.
I know many people find Phonography stupid but besides some of the silly lyrics I really like the sound.

I agree. Regarding the "Britney Effect" on X Factor yesterday: Quote: Almost 13 million people watched the X Factor yesterday, making it the most watched show out of all the 5 X Factor seasons.

The clown in the background on the video wall during these European performances was scary too.

(Though I do wish she would have tried something a little different for X-Factor...the same performance 3 days in a row...was a little disappointing)

Re: Britney Spears - #1 Billboard 100, second time in her career
It would have been irresponsible of Brit to perform at G-A-Y just to save face when there were obvious capacity issues. From some of the message boards I've seen of those in attendance talking about it those thinking clearly understand it was out of her control. The fact that she wasn't even billed to perform let alone show up (It was billed as a Britney party) makes me not feel bad for anyone and make me say oh well, sorry you got your hopes up. Moving along.

These "club appearances" often get cancelled for the above reasons. I remember Madonna was supposed to show up at a club in Montreal during her Confessions tour on her birthday, but she bailed at the last minute for basically the same reasons.
It's really nothing to get worked up over.

also GAY is a very high profile club and there were a LOT of journalists there for the performance.

She wasn't even scheduled. That's the journalists faults for making assumptions and feeding unconfirmed rumors. Their bad.

Re: Britney Spears - #1 Billboard 100, second time in her career
I've decided I like it better than Blackout. But this much.
On The Record: It was very good. It was nice to see Britney's guards down. She is a very guarded person, always was and will be. But when she shows her emotions, her wounds reallly show. Especially when she was talking about her kids, Kevin and Justin. The worst though was when she stated, while crying she was sad. Britney's back, yes but she's not completely back. The "comeback" was rushed so her self esteem, her emotions, everything doing with her as a person has yet to be fully solved. It was very good though, she's very funny. And the Circus video is going to be the shit.
