Tony Sirico aka Paulie from the Sopranos (79)

Wow, 3 iconic gangster characters in a row. Pacino is 82 and DeNiro and Pesci are 79, Duvall 91. And Nicholson is 85. Let's hope the rule of 3 is the end of it.

Paul Sorino now. :(

It would be in terrible taste, but the oscars should use Layla for the In Memorium next year.

Yes Olivia Newton John - may she RIP. Big news here. Oddly, I randomly heard "You're the one that I want" on a YouTube video just yesterday.

Regarding the gangster actors - Ray Liotta, Paul Sorvino, Tony Sirrico and James Caan in such a short space of time - wow. May they RIP.

Anne Heche

Post subject:  Re: Celebrity Deaths

If you removed her 1997 and 1998 movies, I probably wouldn't know of Anne Heche. It's quite amazing that all her big movies were released in those two years. She was obviously Ellen's partner at some point, too, which I guess most people know her as, but for me she's the actress from Six Days, Seven Nights; Psycho; Volcano, etc. It's said she had died, though, and particularly the way she has died.

Wolfgang Peterson - enjoyed some of his blockbusters

He wasn't producing classics anymore, but the man had a brilliant five-film run starting in the 90s with In the Line of Fire, then Outbreak, Air Force One, The Perfect Storm, and finishing with Troy. He also made Enemy Mine, which is such a stinker.

Poseidon was a career ender unfortunately. On the whole though I enjoy the use of water. Basically a poor man's James Cameron.

Crazy that the last day she wasn't Queen (Feb. 5, 1952), Sir Winston Churchill was leader. She really spanned many of the last century's biggest milestones. RIP.

Yes, Elizabeth having a PM that was born in 1874 is pretty crazy

All I've ever known is The Queen. She's on the money, stamps, everything. It's quite strange that now we'll have a King, Charles III. I'm not really a royalist, so I'm not upset, but it is a huge event and I respect the Royal Family for what they bring to the country, its legacy, and its reputation.

May she RIP.

She's been Queen for all of our lives. Incredibly long reign. Quite amazing.

Here in Oz, especially in the 80s and 90s she'd often do visits and the royal family was a big thing even if the fervor tapered off in recent decades.
