Pet Peeves
I'm inspired.
Currently in an airport lounge (flying back to Reagan National for Turkey Day) and some dude walks by reeking of fragrance. The cheap type. This has got to be one of my biggest pet peeves.
The foolproof way to wear fragrance is...spray in the air once and walk thru. Anything more -- and you're probably ruining someone's nasal passages. Chances are you aren't wearing something nice 'enuff to fill the room, so...don't.
Others: the above -- but especially in an office-setting (asthma, bitches), knuckle-cracking (though, I am a chronic back-cracker), 'yo' as a salutation
Yours?

Re: Pet Peeves
My current pet peeve is slow drivers. Like four or five different times in the last week, I've been trapped behind some old biddie going, at most, 20 mph on a 35 mph road. And there's only one lane so you can't pass them.
RAGE.

Re: Pet Peeves
Oh, Pet peeves are things that others do that annoy you! haha. I though it was the other way around In that case, well, i have a lot of them but mostly all of them are while driving and eating. While in the table eating i hate when people clinks and clacks and makes noises with the spoon or fork, and absolutely hate when theyre sipping or slurping their soup or hot drink loudly. While driving, the creepers at red lights. You know, those people that start inching forward in their cars…slowly…until the light turns green. Drivers who have no idea how to drive or the rules in a roundabout. Drivers who insists on riding as close to the back bumper of your car as possible, and then have their high beams on for no reason at all. Just thinking about it pissed me off

People who say "irregardless." I hate dogs at work (we are dog friendly) and I dislike people clipping their fingernails in their office or cubicle.
Dislike people calling something that is an abbreviation (like F.B.I) and acronym.

Re: Pet Peeves
People that incorrectly use the word 'literally'. Here's an example: "I literally died of laughter". Additionally, people that use the word 'literally' unnecessarily. They will begin to tell a story that happened the other night; they will say "I was literally, like, standing there, and ..." when "I was standing there" will suffice. Has the word 'literally' (come to think of it, the word 'like' as well) become the English language thinking word now? like 'ummmm'? I swear that people use 'literally' more than any other word just because (to them) it makes them sound smarter. Only ... it doesn't.

RAGE. Yes to this and also to people who are already in a turn only lane and then turn their blinker on. Like, no shit, you're in a fucking turn lane, asshole.

Like, no shit, you're in a fucking turn lane, asshole. lol I turn on my blinker in a turn lane most of the time. I understand the redundancy, I think I just do it out of habit most of the time. Also, many of the people who drive in and around D.C. are absolutely batshit so you need to be aggressive and display what you're going to do every second.

Re: Pet Peeves
I love LA drivers that refuse to pull up to the car ahead of them during rush hour, thereby blocking turn lanes, leaving other cars in the intersection, etc. There is NO reason to leave a longer gap than, say, half a car's length during rush hour. Unless your breaks don't work or something, in which case...get off the f'n road.
I had the bumpiest cab ride yesterday with a driver who would not go thru a yellow light...ever. When I whined that the cab ride stunk (length, bumpiness, and aforementioned odor) and lamented not taking Uber, my mom mocked me and asked if my tush was too 'royal' for a DC cab. Ouch.
On the other hand, the cab was $35. A miracle considering the time I was in the cab!
