Subtle, understated. That's code for not very good at acting.

Disney CGI remakes era doesn't deserve it's own Cinemania thread but we can put it on the ol This or That.
Vote: Jungle Book

I actually didn't see most, but Aladdin is pretty good / the best.

Agree with stuffp. Aladdin is the only worthwhile one on here (though I did like Sam Raimi's Oz if that counts.)

Re: This or That thread - #39
I’d say The Jungle Book and Cruella were the best, followed by Cinderella.
but I’ve avoided watching a number of these because I just can’t. haven’t seen Aladdin.

Cruella doesn't count otherwise I would've picked it, the Glenn Close one kind of does but it's from a different era.

I didn't even realise The Lady and The Tramp had a live-action remake.

It's cool to say the other ones but I'm sticking with The Rock.

Re: This or That thread - #40
I think Batista is the best actor and shows the most range. So I voted for him.
The Rock is the most reliable leading man.
Cena is the funniest.
Roman sucks.
I always wondered why Paige/Saraya hasn't been in more movies (no not those kind of movies you perverts.) You could slot her in as the quirky best friend of the main girl in any romcom and it would be better for it.

Flava'd vs The World wrote: Cena is the funniest. Yeah, so that's my pick. His involvement makes every film better. The Rock is the only leading man, but many of his films are just a bit cruddy. Bautista is great as Drax, but I just can't recall I like him much in anything else.

Re: This or That thread - #40
Interesting poll choice. Keep it up!
Initally when he became an actor with Walking Tall and The Rundown, I was well on board. So I would have said Dwayne, but his thing has tired on me over the years as it changed from action star to sickly, righteous family man preacher.
Cena being able to laugh at himself is one of his best qualities, but he hasn't yet made it to that level where I see his involvement and it makes a difference. Bautista wins this poll for me.
Sad to see Hulk Hogan wasn't an option.

Re: This or That thread - #41
I think this one has a favorite based on the forum's age, but we'll go with it anyway
My vote is for MI.

Re: This or That thread - #41
Hmmm, tough one. Bond has more good movies in the franchise, but also more bad movies. Mostly because it just has way more movies in general lol.
Fallout would be the best over all film. On Her Majesty's Secret Service, Skyfall, Casino Royale and Goldeneye would round out the top five before we get to Rogue Nation and Ghost Protocol, then we might go through the entire Connery era before getting to Dead Reckoning Part One and MI3 ... but man, the Roger Moore era really drags down the average score for Bond films. I don't really even wanna watch the ones I haven't seen. And shit, even if we remove the Moore films, I still rewatch the MI franchise more than the Daniel Craig, Pierce Brosnan and Sean Connery eras. So MI wins and I probably didn't even need to do all that introspection.

M:I easy. Every movie is excellent.
Bond is great, too, but the M:I standard is just too high.

Re: This or That thread - #41
Hard to say.
I'm a big fan of the first four MI films but 5 and 6 didn't really do it for me. I probably need to watch the series again (and the most recent two films which I haven't seen).
I love the Craig Bond era - with Casino Royale being the best but there are heaps of misses like QoS and some of the Moore Bond films. I probably need to re-watch these as well.
