so is anyone following the rugby? so us brits kinda got our asses kicked by the maori the other day- fair enough they were always gonna be a strong team! but we pulled it back when we played Wellington. Unfortunately I don't think Jonny Wilkinson is playing too well at the moment- he missed easy kicks (shock!) and missed a load of tackles as well - d'oh!! poor Jonny! on the plus side Jenkins- number one for the lions- super prop!! had a great game! Charlotte Church's new Boyfriend Henson played well as well! ![]() should be a good test match- I think New Zealand will kick our asses though :S ![]() best hair ever |

Keep in mind the Maori only beat Fiji 28-26 before they beat you and the All Blacks beat Fiji 91-0 a week later so I hope you present a better challenge when the tests come around ![]() Well you guys beat Otage 30-19 yesterday, although I'd only even heard of about 7 of Otago's players so I wouldn't jump up and down over it (Hoeft, Evans, Newby and Lee are the only ones even near representative contention). Oh yeah, and you guys keep cheating at the breakdown, so there. [-X ![]() |

lol- cheating eh? we should have won that game by more but we didn't have our test side on. otage started really well and I thought we were gonna lose... luckily pulled it back. i still think we need to find something really special if we are gonna have a chance in hell of wining a test match.. |

Well if it's any consolation, I'm sure you guys will beat Manawatu next week. I don't think they're even in our top division. |

It's about time I say, those damn Aussies have dominated cricket for too long. Still, knowing them they'll win when it counts and probably still get the next World Cup. |

I'd be more afraid of Jerry Collins ![]() ![]() Or Sione Lauaki ![]() And you HAVE TO read this: http://www.rugbyweb.co.nz/content/view/101/2/ “I’ve called up an additional twenty players to my squad,†said Woodward. “The majority of my test team will come from these new arrivals. I didn’t want to allow the All Blacks management the chance to analyse us in any detail. Furthermore, it is important to have fresh legs, it has been a tough tour so far.†![]() |

OMG! is this a joke- I honestly can't tell!! isn't sean Fitzpatrick quite old?... and the other people he would be dragging out of retirement! and Dallaglio is a crap captain- and doesn't he have a dodgy ankle!! ( he'll last the first scrum- hell the first kick) well, I'll keep on my edge of my seat for these 'major shocks' its a shame Lomu isn't playing- he's a LEGEND! |

Quote: Potentially the biggest shock is that Woodward plans to have Lawrence Dallaglio captain the side, despite the fact he is in a plaster cast after suffering a dislocated ankle just three weeks ago It'd be great if it was true - real test of character ![]() Lomu will be back in the All Blacks next year. His playing's been poorly for years while he's been sick and lacking fitness, then he was out for about 2 years with his kidney thing and when he made his return a few weeks ago he left at half-time with a shoulder injury that'll keep him out for 4 months. Unlucky guy ](*,) |

the team for the first test... 15 Jason ROBINSON (Sale Sharks, England) 14 Josh LEWSEY (London Wasps, England) 13 Brian O’DRISCOLL (Leinster, Ireland - captain) 12 Jonny WILKINSON (Newcastle Falcons, England) 11 Gareth THOMAS (Toulouse, Wales) 10 Stephen JONES (Clermont Auvergne, Wales) 9 Dwayne PEEL (Llanelli, Wales) 1 Gethin JENKINS (Cardiff, Wales) 2 Shane BYRNE (Leinster, Ireland) 3 Julian WHITE (Leicester Tigers, England) 4 Paul O’CONNELL (Munster, Ireland) 5 Ben KAY (Leicester Tigers, England) 6 Richard HILL (Saracens, England) 7 Neil BACK (Leicester Tigers) 8 Martin CORRY (Leicester Tigers, England - vice captain). no BIG suprises- thank god. apart from wilkinson playing number 12 for some reason!- hope he knows what he's doing!! :S |

I wouldn't call Wilkinson in 12 a surprise to be honest, the press over here was predicting it after the Wellington game where they tested him in it for much of the game. It's a good move for the Lions, gives them more options and counters any advantage the All Blacks might have had with three decent in-play kickers in the backline (Carter, Mauger, MacDonald). Overall, looks like a strong line-up and anyone would be a fool to rule them out just because of the Maori game. Should be an enjoyable series to watch. |

Woohoo! New Zealand 21-3. \:D/ I'm not sure what was worse, the fact that the Lions never once looked like scoring - or their lineouts... ![]() |

The other player was our hooker Kevin Mealamu and I wouldn't have minded him getting suspended because *hopefully* we'll have Anton Oliver back there next week [-o< |

Anything outside of the top flight in New Zealand is pretty much amateurs, but congrats on 100 anyway. I got 47 against them by myself the other week. I expected less than 80 to be honest, thought Manawatu might dig in deep ![]() |
