The talent is there on both teams so it depends who can overcome there being 1 ball the most, I think rose colored glasses has better chemistry of these options, Duncan and Shaq together is a little bit too big and low post driven of a frontcourt, switching Garnett for Duncan would make them better.

Many ways to look at it, I went for this one.
Magic > Curry Jordan > Bryant Bird < James Barkley < Duncan Kareem > Shaq
Also, Bird, Jordan, Magic would been better 3pt shooters than their stats reflect. Also as Shack already said, their team appears more balanced.

Re: Which is the Better All-Time NBA Team?
I think the Roses would have a better half court offense and would rebound better and play tougher. But I like the defense on Bias and the ability to put up quick points. If the game got bogged down into an ugly game, the Roses would take the crown, but if the tempo were to be cranked up, watch out of the Bias.

Re: Which is the Better All-Time NBA Team?
Started talking about this at work, but I think the game plan strategies would be very different for both teams.
Due to having to guard Shaw, Team Rose would have to plan a zone type defense with some man to man on the perimeter.
Michael would go man against Kobe, but switch off against Lebron. Him and Magic would look to trap him if he pushes right for a drive and force him to pull up and shoot as much as possible.
Bird’s whole assignment on defense would be to face guard Curry and either Jordon or Magic would help if he drives. Don’t need to force a trap on him like Lebron, just need to take away the easy shots. Not to mention Bird is great at the psychological game. Would try as hard as he can to get in Curry’s head and threw off his shooting groove.
Magic would guard Lebron and help as before mentioned. Look for him to get the ball after steals from Jordon or rebounds from Barkley to push the ball when available. With his size, he might also play down low when needed against Shaq and Duncan and Lebron when he drives.
Barkley and Kareem would be down low in the zone. Barkley would have a very important role trying to make it as difficult as possible on Shaq despite the size disadvantage. Look for Barkely to implement the hack a Shaq method to force Shaq to the free throw line and push for strips into transition via Magic.
Kareem would help down low and protect the rim when a double team broke down on Shaq. He’s not super strong, but he can block shots very well with his size and athleticism. He would help disrupt Duncan and force him to take difficult shots with his size advantage.
As for Team Receny, look for them to play man and try and take the size advantage.
The big matchup here will be Kobe vs Michael. Kobe is a great defender and will try and shut him down when in isolation.
Lebron will take Barkley. Lebron is physical enough to bang elbows with Barkley and is only one besides Shaq who can fill this role.
Shaq will take Kareem. Duncan might help with a double team, but Shaq will use his size to bully Kareem and force him away from the basket.
Curry will take Bird. Curry is certainly the weak link here, so he might get help from Duncan or Lebron if Bird is getting too comfortable, but Kobe will stick to MJ as much as possible.
Duncan will take Magic. Duncan is a very intelligent defender and will look to disrupt Magic’s passing game and force bad scenarios and try and force isolation between Kobe and MJ.

Team 2000 bias seems more accurate.

Team recency bias. They'd be much better conditioned and would just wear the rose-tinted glasses team down.

Hell, Wilt Chamberlin has the record for logging every minute of every game for a season save for a bit of a game where he fouled out. I think modern players rely more on benches and sitting games. I think the rose-tinted glasses will out tough the recency bias. Recent bias does have the shooting and analytics advantage though

Re: Which is the Better All-Time NBA Team?
So is this for a game or a series? If it’s a game, who cares about rest? If it’s a series, who cares because it’s the playoffs? It’s not like these guys sit during the playoffs. They’ll be well rested and run RCG off the court. TRB would also out run and kill them from three. Any miss would get scooped up by Shaq or Duncan. Rose-colored glasses would be forced into a 3-pt contest and I don’t think that’d go well. Bird could hang for a little bit, but Curry’s the best 3-pt shooter ever.
The one thing RCG has going for them is that they’d be nowhere near as selfish as TRB. They’re loaded with passers and could run down the clock. And the skyhook can’t be defended.

If RCG can force a half court game, then they’d win.

Re: Which is the Better All-Time NBA Team?
Interesting week, but Bird would get bodied by LeBron here, and Pippen is more in the guard camp so that team Rose would get bullied on the boards. Hell Kareem was not a great rebounder or at least not legendary enough to overcome the slack here. Having Barkley in the line up allows for some one to get physical with Shaq, even if only to neutralize

Re: Which is the Better All-Time NBA Team?
This one is hard. Picking only 1 NBA player from the 80s, 90s, 00, 10s, and 20s and building a 5 man team off those five decades. So tough to choose!

Re: Which is the Better All-Time NBA Team?
80s-Magic 90s-MJ 00s-Shaq 10s-Lebron 20s-Giannis
Team would be weaker at shooting, but would have a great defense to offense fast break and play through MJ and Shaq when in the half court.
