Post Re: 2014-2015 NFL Discussion Thread
I can agree that Belicik not calling that timeout had to have thrown Seattle off. Even Pete mentioned that they had a different setup on the field vs the Pats goal line defense and that's what supposedly led to the terrible call. Even if you played it at 20 seconds you could still run, timeout if you are stopped then throw then run. Doesn't matter if they know how you are going to run your play. You see all your folks running up the gut at the 1 yard and make it over and over. I did hear on Cowheard a stat where Russell's INT was the first in over 100 pass attempts from the 1 yard line. I'm not sure if that was just for Seattle as a team or the whole league.

No team threw an INT from the 1 yard line all season.

Until last night.

Back to the non-timeout. By Belichick not taking it, you're forcing Seattle to either A. call a timeout (no way was that going to happen) or B. run a play that could stop the clock if it fails.

Bad execution all the way around. From the coaches down to Kearse not setting a good screen. The biggest blame goes to both the coach & Wilson. Better play call (run da damn ball) or a safer throw (down low) would have won the game for seatle.

What if that was Peyton or Romo who threw that int. They'd be getting killed today from everyone. More so if it was Romo.

Oh, 100%. It's insane that more people aren't blaming Wilson for forcing it there.

Thanks. :D

I've been sick with the flu since the day before the Super Bowl, so the win and this week with the TV appearances by Gronk and the parade, it's felt like some sort of fun and odd fever dream. And then each report after the other slowly clearing the Patriots of "Deflategate" (the Colts would at least have to shell out a pick and some cash to the Pats right of it's found they set them up?), and idiots like Jerry Rice calling the Pats cheaters even though it's now come out that he admitted to using stickem a day before the championship games...this has been a great sports week.

The Saints and Eagles are going to be in a mess next year. I guess Seattle will be the favorites to win the SB, and their division got much easier with the Niners falling apart.

Graham is worth it. He is probably the best TE in the game.

that Graham is the best TE? He is. He isvery athletic and like Tony Gonzalez. He gives Wilson a #1 reciever and will probably have big numbers in Seattle. And really they only gave up a late 1st rounder to get him. Max Unger is very injury proned. He has been injured a lot the last two years.

then who the hell is? If you say Gronk then you are stupid because he is always getting hurt and he isn't half the TE Tony Gonzalez was either. I think sometimes you are missing some brain cells.

Here is someone who thinks Graham is the best
http://cover32.com/2014/05/28/top-10-in ... l-today/5/

Most experts think he is. He resembles Gonzalez, although he is still not as good as him.

More proof
http://bleacherreport.com/articles/1961 ... ds/page/51

And Bleacher report is a pretty good source.
The only thing Grahams sucks is blocking. But he is the best receiving TE in the game right now.

No, that guy thought he was the best last March. If you find a single person in the World who thinks Graham is the best TE in the NFL right now, that person is a fucking dumbass.

I still think he is better because Gronk can't stay healthy. He had a down year last year because the Saints were awful. He still had 85 receptions which is amazing and 10 TDs. Graham is also more athletic and fits the mold of Gonzalez.

I think Graham and Gronk are both fantastic TE's.

I think they are both good just give the edge Graham. Neither are as good as Gonzalez at his prime.

Meanwhile, there are other news with Murray going to Philadelphia will make their games with Dallas interesting. Still, I think the eagles are a mess at QB. Not sure why they got Bradford. I like the moves the Chiefs have made with Maclain and Grubbs from NO. They have fixed two of their biggest weaknesses.

Graham isn't even a fucking TE. UGH. He does not block. Gronk at his best is probably a top 3 ALL TIME TE.

You could say the same about Gonzalez, although I argue he was an underrated blocker when Marty was the head coach. It was just his Atlanta days where he didn't block. I personally won't rank Gronk in the top 3 maybe not even the top 5. Probably Gonzalez, Sharpe, Winslow, Ditka, and John Mackey. I probably put Newsome and Casper ahead of him right now. Gronk are below those guys in part because he has only played 3 full seasons. Get back to me in 10 years and lets see if he can stay healthy.
