Calling Julien (A Curse Becometh You), Mario (Bollywood Heaven) and Passionate Thug. Please join the 2012 Fantasy League so you can reclaim your spot since we do keepers this year.

League Name
World of KJ
#22482

League Password
wokj

I did set October 13th as the date to reclaim our two keepers, so it would be good if everyone joined til October 6th, otherwise someone else has to take over one of the open teams so this keeper thing can work

Can't wait for this this to start again! Wonder who will end up being #1 pick w/ all the keepers.

Dunno who to pick as my 2nd keeper. I made the Rubio trade last year specifically for keeper purposes, but now he's gonna be out half the year.

Still need Julien and Mario back. Are they on KJ or have they been guests?

Anyone interested in joining the league and taking over as manager for the two remaining teams? You get to pick two keepers from those teams. First come first serve

Team A:
Pau Gasol
Paul George
Marcin Gortat
Danny Granger
Spencer Hawes
Amir Johnson
David Lee
JaVale McGee
Andre Miller
J.J. Redick
Jason Richardson
Evan Turner
Gerald Wallace

Team B:
Nicolas Batum
Marcus Camby
DeMar DeRozan
Tyreke Evans
Tyler Hansbrough
Dwight Howard
Kyrie Irving
DeAndre Jordan
Chris Kaman
Joakim Noah
Josh Smith
Deron Williams
Metta World Peace

I'd be fine with an 8 team league. Will certainly make the draft more interesting.

Unfortunately that is not possible

"You cannot reduce the max teams below 10 because your league contains 8 teams and 2 teams have not yet been renewed from last season."

Just wanted to confirm, if last year a drafted player got dropped due to injury, then you pick him up from the waiver wire; then if you choose him as a keeper will he be midround or the 2011 draft round position(I think the latter is more fair)?

I thought waiver wire players only include the ones who weren't drafted. Does that mean Steph Curry would not cost me a first round (or a 2nd round since LeBron will already cost me a first round)?

No, you would inherit the round he was originally drafted

You can claim anyone of your players as a keeper. He will be inserted in the round he was drafted last year. If he was originally undrafted, he will be a mid-round pick this year. (probably Jeremy Lin would be handled this way if he wasn't drafted by anyone)

Julien re-claimed his team, so we need one more spot to be filled

when you say mid round, which round exactly? It makes a difference for me since I picked up Zach as a FA, also have Ty Lawson sitting as a 7th rounder and cousins sitting in the 9th, which are prob my best values, but its hard to leave Wade and Melo in the dust. Basically having a hard time picking my 2nd keeper...Durant of course...but who else, hmm

LaMarcus Aldridge
Carmelo Anthony
DeMarcus Cousins
Luol Deng
Goran Dragic
Kevin Durant
Manu Ginobili
Andre Iguodala
Joe Johnson
Ty Lawson
Zach Randolph
Dwyane Wade
Amar'e Stoudemire

I think we have 10 rounds. I was thinking 6th rounder. Anyone opposed to that?

Does anyone have a copy of last years draft results? Also, was Julien team A or Team B. I might be able to talk a friend into taking the last spot, but Team B would be a much easier sell.

Sorry, my mistake. You're correct. I would set keepers picked up from waivers as 7th rounders then

Remember everyone to pick your keepers til saturday. I might move the deadline since we are still missing the tenth team, but just in case have your keepers picked and ready

He sent me a text saying "I got the email, how long do I got?" I told him to join ASAP so not sure what the hold up is. I'll talk to him today and get a definitive answer.
