The fanboy in me might come through, but I think the Mavs have a shot at it this year. They don't have the best record, but they really improved a lot under Johnson and were one of the best teams down the stretch. |

There were couple of reports that Duncan wont be back until next year...some said even later. And I'd still pegged them for atleast west finals. But hopefully Duncan will be back for playoffs. Now that the Knicks are out (and bloody awful), I cheer for Spurs. Though, wouldn't mind Dallas or Sacramento to win it all as well. From east, just Pistons I like somewhat. Rest can crash and burn. Especially Nets and Celtics. :-) |

Philly HAS to pass Clevland for that 7th seed. They hold the tiebreaker, which is important. I just hope they can do it, because the difference in facing the pistons or the Heat is so vast ... |

I think it is a ridiculous rule that the division leaders automatically get ranked 1-3. Seattle is now what? 4 games behind Dallas and will nevertheless get the number three spot... |

well I hope and hope some more than the Cavs can get their shit together and take back the #7 seed from Philly. Sixers play The Nets on Sunday, so that's a win/win situation for us. |

I just hope they can do it, because the difference in facing the pistons or the Heat is so vast ... You'd rather face Detroit? They're one of the hottest teams in basketball right now as they have won 9 straight. And, I believe Denver is the only team with a better record since the All Star break. While a few analysts are picking Detroit to beat the Heat and go to the championship this year (for example, USA Today's Ronald Dupree still picks it Spurs vs. Pistons), it never ceases to amaze me at how Detroit is still underestimated, just like last year. Philly's only hope is to catch one of the teams above them (like Indiana) and take the 6th seed to face Boston. Detroit's superb record at home (31-9), the way they play in crunch time (overtime record: 6-1), and their regular season record against Philly (3-1) all spell doom for Philly. Heck, with Miami slumping I'd rather play them right now if I were Philadelphia. |

Nope, I would rather play the Pistons, no doubt in my mind. The sixers match up well with them ... better than the 3-1 record shows ... Shaq wuld .. and will ... give us nightmares. Him and wade ... if wade shoots jumpers and hits ... we cant beat miami. |

Cleveland loses again which now opens the door for the Nets. Plus the Nets have the tie-breaker over Cleveland. |
