The first tournament of the 2011 PGA season is the SBS Championship on the Plantation Course at the Kapalua Resort in Maui from January 6th - 9th.

Guess who won't be there?

Cheetah Woods!

...because this is one tournament that doesn't allow losers.

(Hopefully by our 2012 thread, Cheetah will have retired in disgrace and failure altogether!)

Grand Slam year for Tiger.

And then Bradley dies of being wrong all the time.

Is Bradley envious because Tiger had so many women and he is still a virgin?

Tiger will win at least 1 Major this time.

No, Bradley. Mickelson is not #3. Not even close. Sorry :(

Sadly Cheetah doesn't seem to have gained any maturity through his travails - - on the 8th hole he screams out "Fuck!" on television - - what a class act.

However he's playing way above his ability with a surprisingly high position on the leaderboard with a tie for 22nd on the opening day of the Farmer's Insurance Open.

Phil's tied for 5th and Rickie Fowler is in 2nd - - my money's on Fowler for the win on Sunday.

Phil was looking great out there today - - watch out for him on the weekend. (Also nice to see his wife walking the course again.)

It's gonna be a great Sunday with four big names within two shots of each other: Phil, Hunter, Bubba, and Haas. All four were playing good steady thoughtful golf.

Even Cheetah did well today. Though he's tied for 24th, this is a very difficult course for someone of his skill level. Plus he only had a few tantrums.

Poor Bradley. How many majors does your man Phil have in his career?

Counting this season... eight.

Phil almost had this one, but Bubba deserved it.

They're both golfers with class and a sense of humor.

None, in spirit, because he's a bad sport.

It's going to be interesting to see how Vegas is going to do the rest of the season. He is on fire at the moment.

Forget Cheetah Woods - - Pig Woods is more accurate.

Thank God the bitch lost big time.

Woods fined by European Tour for spitting

Quote:
“The Tournament Director, Mike Stewart, has reviewed the incident and feels there has been a breach of the Tour Code of Conduct and consequently Tiger Woods will be fined,” the European Tour said in a statement.

The tour said it would not disclose the amount of the fine.

The tour’s code of conduct states that when a player becomes a member, he “voluntarily submits himself to standards of behavior and ethical conduct beyond those required of ordinary golfers and members of the public.”

Ewen Murray, a commentator for Britain’s Sky Sports, said on air after seeing Woods spit on the second tee during the second round that it was “one of the ugliest things you will ever see on a golf course.”

On Sunday, after Woods spit on the 12th round, Murray said on air that “somebody now has to come behind him and maybe putt over his spit. It does not get much lower than that.

It used to be a gentleman's game.

Spit Personalities

Quote:
Tiger Woods and Sergio Garcia played alongside one another in the final round of the Dubai Desert Classic. Both men began Sunday one off the lead and each shot 3-over-par 75 to finish tied 20th, seven behind champion Alvaro Quiros.

The promising pairing turned into a pair of petulant children trying to annoy and ignore one another. The lowlight of many lowlights came when Woods hocked up a two-pound loogie on the 12th green, which might have been the only thing Garcia, who once spit into the bottom of a hole after retrieving his ball, appreciated. These two used to dazzle. Now it's like watching Nick Nolte and Steven Wright play.

Two-pound loogie!?

Man! It must be odd living on that planet of yours. Where everything stays the same forever.
