Debating Peyton Manning vs. NFL's All-Time Greats
Debating Peyton Manning vs. all-time greats.... http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/news;_ylt=A ... &type=lgnsGreat article especially when he adds stuff like this... Particularly when you consider that since the Patriots were caught in the Spygate cheating scandal – in which they were taping the defensive signals of opponents – they haven’t won a Super Bowl. That’s definitely a twist in the debate.

Currently he's top 10. By the time his career ends he'll be top 3

Re: Debating Peyton Manning vs. NFL's All-Time Greats
I'd put Peyton between 3 and 5 right now. I think that people probably have Elway and Favre ahead of him and maybe a couple way old timers. Even Brady may be ahead of him because of how many superbowls he's won, but because of Peyton's resilience (like Favre) and his overall building of the stats that he'll probably be taking over one day I think with another Superbowl win in the end he'll be top 3 if not #1.

I think that throw just dropped him a few spots.

My "101-Infinity" vote is justified.

Montana Unitas Otto Graham Elway Brady Favre Manning
He could pass Favre and Brady when done but no way is he as good as Montana he won 4 SBs and manning now has lost one.

One at a time Roger Staubach good QB not sure about top 10 Warren Moon Never won a big game which keeps him out of the top 10 Jim Kelly Losing 4 SBs to me hurts him Dan Fouts Same as Moon Fran Tarkenton Same as Kelly Steve Young Well he was a good QB but wasn't a starter long enough to be consider top 10 Troy Aikman Good QB maybe top 10 Terry Bradshaw I would put him below Manning 9th

Re: Debating Peyton Manning vs. NFL's All-Time Greats
So you list 7 and I have 4 maybes for 11.
And whart about Joe Namath. Biggest SB win ever? First QB to throw for 4000 yards. One of the fastest releases ever. And played for like 15 years.

Re: Debating Peyton Manning vs. NFL's All-Time Greats
Namath wouldn't be top 10, he was too often hurt. I guess I should throw Marino out there as well considering his regular season numbers. Its probably between him, Staubach, and Young for the last spot. I would put Aikman 9th.

In my eyes Montana will always be the greatest QB I've ever seen play.

Namath is over-rated.

namath shouldn't even be in consideration considering he threw more INT's than TD's if i remember correctly

Re: Debating Peyton Manning vs. NFL's All-Time Greats
Considering I think Peyton doesn't have too much longer in the league...if he can play well enough to get the Broncos into the playoffs I would put him above Favre. Favre's last few years were tough to watch.

I think Peyton has always been ahead of Favre. Super Bowl or not.
