wow, I am glad that Goodwell thinks he is in a better place > but hint > he wants to start earning on that 30 Million Dollar Contract!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

so less than 1 year since the accident and less than 6 months since the suspension started!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

just got to LOL as this NFL commissioner gave nothing compared to that of the Giants' Plaxico Burress!!!!!

and since the courts didn't give him a real punishment, I was hoping that the NFL would!

Goodell: Stallworth will be reinstated
Feb 5, 6:09 pm EST

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (AP)—NFL commissioner Roger Goodell said Friday that Cleveland Browns wide receiver Donte’ Stallworth will be reinstated from his suspension for killing a pedestrian while driving drunk.

At his annual Super Bowl-week news conference, Goodell said Stallworth’s suspension will be lifted after the Super Bowl on Sunday - which again is less than 1 year since the accident and less than 6 months since the suspension started!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.

Goodell said he met with Stallworth about a month ago, and the receiver is “in a better place than he was.” Goodell said Stallworth recognized what he did wrong and has prepared himself to return to the NFL.

Stallworth spent 24 days in jail for a DUI manslaughter conviction in the case. The accident occurred last March in South Florida, and he was suspended without pay last August.

I still find it ridiculous that Plaxico gets jail time for shooting himself in the leg. Yes, guns are extremely restricted in NY but he won a superbowl for that dumb town and he can't get any leniency. It's so ridiculous.

Now, Stallworth needs to be reinstated for the good of the family members of the relative that he killed. He has to pay them back somehow and he can't do that earning cash outside the NFL or maybe he payed them already. IDK.

Well a year wait costing him millions would have been nice.

And doesn't he have past money and last years money and a very big signing bonus.

Don't be pissed at the NFL cause the city of NY made an example out of Plex.
Stallworth got off legally because it wasn't his fault (drunk or not) the guy decided to cross the street at the wrong time.
Missing a season is enough of a punishment.
I am glad he's helping the family.

First talking about the NFL punishment. Not the law.

And if it wasn't his fault. Then he wouldn't have gotten any jail time.

And big deal if the guy wasn't in the crosswalk. He probably wouldn't have gotten hit if Stallworth wasn't speeding and drunk. As that killed his reflexes.

And just the fact that he didn't brake but he supposedly flashed his lights shows the drinking and speeding fucked him up.

so the NFL Commissioner is as Clueless as you. and he had to help the family cause he would have paid now up-front, which saved his self-serving ass from any jail time or later in a civil trial!!!!!!!!!!!!

He got jail time for drinking and driving, not killing someone.

Plaxico had an illegal loaded firearm go off in a night club

cause he paid off the family and the family didn't want to testify!

if he didn't pay them, they would have and he would have gotten more jail time.

Testify to what? They weren't there.

You know nothing about how the law works.

at a trial that the guy was dead....and that would bring big bucks with the speeding and drinking issues in a criminal & civil trial.

What would they testify to? Being his family?

How is he going to "earn that $30 mil contract"... when he got released?

And Burress wasn't "carrying a gun".
