FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (AP)—NFL commissioner Roger Goodell said Friday that Cleveland Browns wide receiver Donte’ Stallworth will be reinstated from his suspension for killing a pedestrian while driving drunk.

At his annual Super Bowl-week news conference, Goodell said Stallworth’s suspension will be lifted after the Super Bowl on Sunday - which again is less than 1 year since the accident and less than 6 months since the suspension started!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.

Goodell said he met with Stallworth about a month ago, and the receiver is “in a better place than he was.” Goodell said Stallworth recognized what he did wrong and has prepared himself to return to the NFL.

Stallworth spent 24 days in jail for a DUI manslaughter conviction in the case. The accident occurred last March in South Florida, and he was suspended without pay last August.

And big deal if the guy wasn't in the crosswalk. He probably wouldn't have gotten hit if Stallworth wasn't speeding and drunk. As that killed his reflexes. And just the fact that he didn't brake but he supposedly flashed his lights shows the drinking and speeding fucked him up. so the NFL Commissioner is as Clueless as you. and he had to help the family cause he would have paid now up-front, which saved his self-serving ass from any jail time or later in a civil trial!!!!!!!!!!!!
