Howard will be tough...especially if the refs don't call the game close.

yup, NBA takes the easy road by setting it at 2-3-2. I would rather be the road team, up to the final Game 7.

Since changing the format in 1985 to the 2-3-2, the team that doesn't have home court advantage (in this case Orlando) have only won the championship 6 times out of a possible 24. Three of the six teams were lead by Michael Jordan. You want home court advantage entering the finals.

However with that in mind, the road teams that did win all had one thing in common. They had a big. The Bulls had Rodman. The Heat had Shaq. The Magic have Howard. Whether that translates into a win we'll find out, but the Magic are good enough to take one of the first two in LA.

I chose the Lakers, can I live in SoCal. Okay, I am not much into Basketball, although interesting thing to note is that both teams are in sunshine states with a Magic Kingdom. Quite a Disney matchup, eh.

If Magic can get a Game in LA out of the 1st 2 I like their chances with Games 3-5 all at home.

any other updates if he is expected to play!

GARY W. GREEN, ORLANDO SENTINEL / (May 28, 2009)

LOS ANGELES - Unless the Orlando Magic have a last-second change of heart before game-time, point guard Jameer Nelson is not expected to play tonight in Game 1 of the NBA Finals against the L.A. Lakers and the chance of him joining the series in progress is slim, the Sentinel has learned.

Nelson has been feverishly trying to come back early from Feb. 19 shoulder surgery.

If the magic can steal one of the first 2 games then i think they win it, if they dont then the Lakers will win.

I really hate bitching about the NBA refs! but Lakers keep on getting hit going to the basket with no fouls called. Then they call these other touch fouls. Just don't call any fouls.
PS. As I was typing this, Kobe got landed on as he was going up for a lay-up, no call! Joke.

lol as the magic are down by 10, the refs give the magic a bs foul with 10 seconds left.

anyway, lakers up by 10 at half.

Post subject:  Re: NBA Finals Schedule! - Lakers vs Magic > Whose the Pick?

chill out with the ref talk, goldie. there have been plenty of bs calls on both sides.

unfortunately the magic seem to have given up on defense and cant shoot to save their lives : (
