Manny Ramirez Statement. Was it for the field or bedroom?
Statement from Manny Ramirez on 50-game suspension for drug violation released by Major League Baseball Players Association on Thursday/ http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20090507/ap_ ... tatement_1By The Associated Press The Associated Press – Thu May 7, 1:03 pm ET Recently I saw a physician for a personal health issue. He gave me a medication, not a steroid, which he thought was OK to give me. Unfortunately, the medication was banned under our drug policy. Under the policy that mistake is now my responsibility. I have been advised not to say anything more for now. I do want to say one other thing; I've taken and passed about 15 drug tests over the past five seasons. I want to apologize to Mr. McCourt, Mrs. McCourt, Mr. Torre, my teammates, the Dodger organization, and to the Dodger fans. LA is a special place to me and I know everybody is disappointed. So am I. I'm sorry about this whole situation.

Lets be honest. Manny WOULD do all that crap just to fix his dick.
That and the fact that he has literally no other visible side effects or benefits from roids should be enough.

I think a good test will be how he plays in the 100 games he has left when he returns from this suspension. *********** Also, I think MLB should have a doctor on call where any player who wants to check if his prescription is legal before using. This could be done through an email very easily.

If it turns out that he does/did in fact have a limp noodle and that's all it was (he's going to have to produce the doctor who's going to have to fork over information regarding what was going on with Manny, etc, etc.) he should've saved himself the embarrassment (which there wouldn't have been any since the MLB would've kept it confidential) and just come out with it to the MLB. Instead he has to prove himself innocent. If he can't he'll forever be known as a cheater.

Do you think he has been a "cheater" his whole career or just recently. What year would be your guess?

I'm not sure. His numbers have been consistent throughout the majority of his career. His only "down" year was in '07 when he only hit 20 home runs. Based on that he could be telling the truth. I doubt it, but he still has the ability to prove most people wrong.

Manny's forte is his hand/eye coordination, not power.
Steroids don't help there. I think he's probably telling the truth.

Yeah his hand/eye coordination is more important. I am not sure why he would take steroids at this point, unless he was trying to heal from an injury. He could be telling the truth, I guess we will see what he says about it.

Kindof ironic that AROD is back as Manny leaves for 50 games.
Guess the talk will now change from Manny to Arod.
