One win away from the Triple Crown.

He DOMINATED the Preakness once the final turn came around.

Can it be done?!?

As much as I do like how exciting a horse race can be, my view on the whole sport is the same:
Rich snobs just trying to get richer... :disgust:

I think this is going to finally be the year. He hasn't had any serious competition except for Eight Belles who died trying. The streak is finally going to end.

He's amazing to watch. He doesn't even try to stay even with the field, and then just TURNS IT ON in the final stretch.

Over $5 mil has been bet on him to win just AT THE TRACK.

That's a TON of dough.

Bah. I really thought that he had it. My heart was seriously pounding as soon as the gates opened. I really expected him to win, not become the first Triple Crown hopeful to end up in last place.

I am glad that the rider eased off of him and didn't force him into hurting himself.

Being a rabid horse fan, and owning horses myself, I agree somewhat, but at the same time, He was fine, and has been reported. Though for that reason Im in the league that, just because he doesnt win, He's not worthy to finish the race. And what a diss to the winner of the race, he didnt get any coverage, and minimal mind you until 10 minutes after the race all about Big Brown.

There's plenty of grumbling about the race being fixed, and that BB was on steroids for the first two races and taken off for the last...

I don't think we'll ever know why he pulled back on him. Maybe he just felt Brown was struggling.
