Since everyone's doing it, why not us as well? Anyone interested in conducting a weekly power ranking just for fun? I think we got some nice expertise here like BTTF. This would be mine after the first week.

Re: WOKJ NFL Power Ranking Week #1
Since every team is either 1-0 or 0-1... I needed to separate them as it's not fair to the 1-0 teams if a losing team is ranked higher.
The Winners: 1. New England 2. Indianapolis 3. Cincinnati 4. San Diego 5. Pittsburgh 6. Dallas 7. Minnesota 8. Oakland 9. Seattle 10. Denver 11. Washington 12. Green Bay 13. Detroit 14. San Fransisco 15. Houston 16. Tennessee
The Losers: 1. Baltimore 2. Jacksonville 3. Buffalo 4. Arizona 5. Chicago 6. New Orleans 7. Philadelphia 8. Oakland 9. St. Louis 10. New York Jets 11. Miami 12. New York Giants 13. Tampa Bay 14. Cleveland 15. Atlanta 16. Kansas City

Re: WOKJ NFL Power Ranking Week #1
The AFC is so far above the NFC it not even funny. I could only pick 1 NFC team in the top Five.
Top five:
1. San Diego- (Won over the top rated defense, LT still scored 2 TD's) 2. Cincinnati- (Won over another top rated defense) 3. Indianapolis- (New Orleans didn't show up) 4. New England- (Impressive but could Moss be a week 1 fluke?) 5. Dallas- (Defense sucks, but can anyone stop this offense?)
The rest:
6. Chicago 7. Pittsburgh 8. Baltimore 9. Seattle 10. Green Bay 11. Carolina 12. New Orleans 13. St. Louis 14. Washington 15. Philadelphia 16. Tennessee 17. Minnesota 18. Miami 19. Denver 20. Detroit 21. Houston 22. San Francisco 23. New York Jets 24. New York Giants 25. Jacksonville 26. Buffalo 27. Arizona 28. Kansas City 29. Oakland 30. Tampa Bay 31. Atlanta 32. Cleveland
Dallas is not a 17th ranked team Levy, especially with that offense.

Re: WOKJ NFL Power Ranking Week #1
TOP 10 1- Indy Colts (Duh! Did y'all see the whooping they gave the Saints?) 2- NE Pats (Brady + Moss = UNSTOPPABLE!! at least in game one) 3- SD Chargers (That Defense will win more games than the offense) 4- Dallas Cowboys (Offense is kicking but that defense needs work. Good thing head coach knows defense) 5- NO Saints (Colts woke them up. They should be fine now) 6- Sea Seahawks 7- Cinn Bengals 8- Pitts Steelers 9- Denver Broncos 10- Chicago Bears (Great D, Suck Ass Offense)

Re: WOKJ NFL Power Ranking Week #1
WOKJs combined week 1 ranking was:
1. New England 2. Indianapolis 3. San Diego 4. Cincinatti 5. Pittsburgh 6. Dallas 7. Seattle 8. Green Bay 9. Chicago 10. Carolina 11. Baltimore 12. New Orleans 13. Washington 14. Denver 15. Tennessee 16. Philadelphia 17. Minnesota 18. St. Louis 19. Detroit 20. San Francisco 21. New York Jets 22. Miami 23. Houston 24. Jacksonville 25. Buffalo 26. Arizona 27. New York Giants 28. Oakland 29. Tampa Bay 30. Cleveland 31. Kansas City 32. Atlanta
@Passionate Thug: Beating up the Giants is easy, the defense was too worrysome to rank the Cowboys higher after week 1. They'll jump up this week though.

I'll put something together this week. It's hard to rank after only one week, two is a bit easier.

Re: WOKJ NFL Power Ranking Week #2
1. New England (self-explanatory) 2. Indianapolis (They always have problems against the Titans. Nothing to worry about) 3. Pittsburgh (Looking stronger every week) 4. San Diego (What’s up with LT? I know they played strong defenses but that couldn’t stop him last year) 5. Dallas (still worried about the D and how Romo will be against a team that can actually play) 6. Chicago (0 TD by a WR or RB, that’s not gonna cut it) 7. Washington (Great D, they’ll give Dallas a shot for the NFC East crown) 8. Green Bay (If Green Bay keeps on like that, Brett Favre might actually, finally, retire) 9. Baltimore (Same story every year: Will the D be good anough to cover fort he offense?) 10. Tennessee (Although they lost, the Indy game will give them a confidence boost) 11. Seattle (Maybe they need to be reminded that they have to play both halftimes) 12. San Francisco (everyone who picked them as their sleeper can feel proud so far) 13. Cincinnati (they get into a shootout with Cleveland? And lose?) 14. Houston (the Defense is fantastic so far. If they can hold their won against Peyton next week, they could bet he surprise of the year) 15. Denver (I know, they’re 2-0 but shaky wins against Oakland and Buffalo are not good) 16. New York Jets (0-2 but against good teams. I’m not ready to drop them further down yet) 17. Detroit (not sure what to make of them) 18. Philadelphia (What’s up with McNabb?) 19. Jacksonville (They won. Barely. Againat Atlanta. Guess the first week was not bad luck) 20. Carolina (Worst team in the league i fit wasn’t for Smith) 21. Arizona (Win against Seattle. But don’t jump on the Cardinal bandwagon just yet) 22. Cleveland (it’ll be very exciting to see if Derek Anderson’s performance was more than a fluke) 23. St. Louis (Lost two home games. Won’t be getting easier for them) 24. Miami (Trent Green is not the saviour) 25. Tampa Bay (Jeff Garcia looks like a good pick-up for them) 26. Minnesota (Tavaris Jackson is not starting QB material) 27. New Orleans (maybe a bit low, but so is their play) 28. New York Giants (just depressing) 29. Oakland (Why is Josh McClown starting? Anyone?) 30. Kansas City (Pathetic.) 31. Buffalo (If they can’t get Evans more involved, they’re doomed) 32. Atlanta (Looks like their O-Line wasn’t meant to be used for a pocket QB)

Re: WOKJ NFL Power Ranking Week #2
After tonight's performance against teh Bears, the Cowboys gotta be #1 in the NFC and #3 overall behind Pats & Colts. In my ranking of course. The Packers have entered my Top 5 with the win against the Chargers.

I shall rank tomorrow night.
But... Dallas is still behind Pittsburgh. So the top 4 stays the same... and Green Bay moves to #5.

Re: WOKJ NFL Power Ranking Week #2
1. New England If they stay healthy...they have no weakness. AND they are going to be able to add Seymour and Harrison in a few weeks.
2. Pittsburg Very physical team with a fledging superstar in Santonio Holmes...this team is getting it done.
3. Dallas That offense is more than stellar; and they have a defense good enough to keep em in the game if need to be. They're Cincinatti with a defense.
4. Houston I firmly believe they are better than the colts. They lost by 6 points; and I feel with Ahman Green and Andre Johnson-theyre star hb and wr-they would have defeated them.
5. Indanapolis 3-0 but the past 2 weeks they have looked beatable by good teams; if they face the Patriots or Steelers theyre in trouble.
6. Green Bay Great defense, and Favre is playing superb.
7. Tampa Bay Great defense, Garcia is doing well ands al lthe running back are contribting. Holding ST. LOUIS; a team that runs and is designed to only score and not stop; to 3 points is huge.
8. San Diego Playing like shit; but thats because they played 3 great defenses.
9. Philidelphia McNabb will will this team into the playoffs; no doubt.
10. Chicago Grossman sucks; and I dont trust benson, but the defense is still great when healthy.

Re: WOKJ NFL Power Ranking Week #3
I agree with most of Chip's ranking, except I would have Philly much higher, I think they'll wake up now. Also I'd put Denver behind the Ravens/Titans/Bucs/Redskins.
Also, Jacksonville still sucks balls and Chicago/San Diego unless they start really sucking can't be that low.

Also, Jacksonville still sucks balls and Chicago/San Diego unless they start really sucking can't be that low. Chicago has a horrible offense. And their defense let up 33 points. San Diego, despite facing good defenses, have an inept coach. And their defense is looking WEAK. Jacksonville, ala Tennessee, finds ways to win... somehow. Ravens have no offense and got exposed by the no huddle offense. Philly beat up on a HORRIBLE Detroit defense. They gave up 446 yards in the air, which does not fair well for them if they go up against a team with a running game that will be able to exploit it even MORE. And Denver will fall. Unless they actually show me something next week. If they struggle to win again, even if they do win, I'm probably gonna drop them at least 5 spots.

Re: WOKJ NFL Power Ranking Week #3
1. New England (The Pats just pound the competition without mercy) 2. Indianapolis (It’s as if they were afraid to run away from their opponents.) 3. Pittsburgh (The unchallenged number 3 team at the moment) 4. Dallas (Yeah, I admit it. They’re good. They’re really good.) 5. Green Bay (Anyone else excited about the Dallas and Green Bay matchup?) 6. Tennessee (Very impressive win on Monday Night. AFC South looks like the strongest division this year) 7. San Diego (A 1-2 team this high? Sounds crazy, but you can lose against new England and in Green Bay) 8. Houston (They held their own against Indy despite missing Andre Johnson. That’s a very good sign for them.) 9. Jacksonville (Benefitters of their easy schedule so far. And in two weeks they play Kansas.) 10. Baltimore (Barely held on to the win. They still don’t look good, but who is apart from the Top 6) 11. San Francisco (the blowout loss against Pittsburgh was to be expected. The next two weeks will decide whether they’re for real.) 12. Seattle (Maybe they need to be reminded that they have to play both halftimes) 13. Philadelphia (Mystery NFC East Team #1. I have no idea where to put them. The way the NFC East teams besides Dallas play confuses me.) 14. New York Giants (Mystery NFC East Team #2. They looked like shit so far, but their two losses came against the best of the NFC. Maybe they’re better than they appear. *Crosses fingers*) 15. Washington (Mystery NFC East Team #3. Great D, but the offense must do better than against the Giants) 16. Tampa Bay (To beat New Orleans and St. Louis is no miracle, but maybe this is actually a decent team) 17. Cincinnati (They would have won if they don’t fumble the return. Nevertheless, they’re a mediocre team right.) 18. Chicago (if they bench Grossman they’re a top 10 team, otherwise this is where they belong at the moment) 19. Arizona (The way they’re handling their QBs is plain stupid.) 20. New York Jets (Despite the close result, the Jets looked actually good) 21. Denver (Shaky wins against Oakland and Buffalo. That’s slightly better than...) 22. Detroit (..to have your only wins against Oakland and Minnesota, who are nearly as bad as...) 23. Carolina (...Atlanta and St. Louis, who were the only teams Carolina beat ) 24. New Orleans (Don’t get too carried away. They lost against three teams that were actually playing decent football) 25. Oakland (They won by a blocked FG. Against Cleveland. Impressive. NOT!) 26. Cleveland (Anderson will be referred to as One-Time-Derek from now on) 27. Buffalo (With Losman out two weeks, who will throw the bombs to Lee Evans? Exactly. No one. Season over.) 28. Miami (Which washed-up QB will be their starter next year?) 29. St. Louis (Words can’t describe how bad they look. And now Stephen Jackson is out) 30. Kansas City (Only win came against Tavaris Jackson) 31. Minnesota (Only win came against Atlanta) 32. Atlanta (They stink)
