He's not quite there yet because the Pats haven't needed to use him enough to open up the opportunity to have a big game. But he gets the job done. |

Well... with San Fran winning, NE probably won't get McFadden... which means Maroney gets to prove his worth next year. |

Addai??? Did you see his last 6 games? Maroney is better then portis; hes not the same guy he was 5 years ago. AD will huge bust next season. Maronery didnt get the ball all season, these guys didl now the maroneys getting itwere seeing what he can do and its better than all of em other than lt and westbrook. And Marion Barber? He cant be a feature back he gets too tired and is too slow. Maroney is a faster and bigger version of him. |

Maroney averaged 30 yards a catch this season and portis ypc was under 4 what da hell you talkin bout? just cause you got 25 hand offs and 5 catches a game and have good totals doesnt mean your actually effectivly moving drives because addai and the horrible indy running game is why san deigo beat em. but san diego didnt do shit to stop Maroney but they totally shut down addai. see there are 3 kinds of running backs. Move backs (Wilie Parker) are great at bobbing and weaving. Speed backs (Reggie Bush) who amazing in open space, and power backs (Duece macalister). Every running back in the nfl fallsinto one category but the best are hybrid backs. Larry Johnson was a combo of all 3, LT is a speed and moves back with the ability to break tackles. MB3 is a power back with moves. Addai is a speed back with moves. Steven Jackson is a power back with moves. LAURENCE MARONEY is a combO of all 3. He has breakaway speed, nasty moves, and punishing power. and is the first running back I have seen since Larry Johnson to have a combo of all where all 3 are not just good but very good. He will be THE best running back in the league whenever he consistently gets 20 carries a game. Period. Yesterday the passing game wasnt opened for him and faced a fantasic defense....but he rocked them. Wide Receivers the same way. Physical, speed, or possession. T.O. is a speed and physical one, Moss is a speed posession one, the most dangerous kind of player in all the NFL. Santonio Holmes is the only other speed and possession wide reciever that exists in the NFL. |
