If I had to choose it'd be Baseball. It's a very slow game but more exciting than either Hockey or Soccer. American Football, the NFL but more so college football dominates the excitment arena. How europeans and south americans can get so hot over Soccer is kind of boggling considering it's just a bunch of running around and kicking a ball.

Baseball by a wide margin.

Soccer is brutal to watch, and I played that for 12 years. I think Football and Baseball are the more interesting to watch.

Another useless thread from you.

With Tennis, Soccer, Golf, Basketball, and curling, you picked terrible choices. Now all those are actually fun to play, but watching is a different experience.

American foot(?)ball definitely, the reason why it hasnt caught on anywhere is because it's so stop-and-start, there's a stoppage every 5seconds or so? How long in reality does it take the 60 minute match to be complete?

Plus all that damn padding, bunch of pansies.

Theres also not nearly enough heavy athletes in other countries, like the ones that way 250-350 lbs and can still kick ass, with the exception of Sumo wrestlers, but they can't really run either.

All the stopping is why networks love it so much. They can squeeze more commvercials in. When it does start though, it's pretty exciting.

Heard of Rugby? The world cup is coming up in a couple of weeks, keep an eye out for it . . . There are plenty of heavy athletes around, if take into consideration there are countries from every continent involved (your very own USA is also competing). In most countries competing the sport is either the national or second sport, so there is more than enough athletes being churned out by the system. Theres a reason why that Euro-NFL thing went bust and it isn't because of limited "heavy athletes".

No, ive watched a few games very briefly and it isn't a flowing game as there are literally stoppages every few seconds for fumbled balls and what have you and calling time outs etc

My list of sports from least exciting, to most:

#1. Pro Wrestling (I laugh when anybody calls it a sport)
#2. All those wacky foreign sports that I don't understand at all: Cricket (don't these matches take 2 years to complete?), Rugby, Lacrosse.
#3. NASCAR (bunch of hillbillies driving in a circle)
#4. Foreign sports that I understand, but don't "get": Soccer, Canadian Rules Football, Bicycle racing.
#5. Golf
#6. Hockey (would be more exciting if I knew what the puck was going on. I like the video games at least).
#7. WNBA (pfft... girls)
#8. Baseball (the 162 regular season games are mostly boring, but I enjoy playoff ball).
#9. NFL (American Football) (the stops in between plays is why god invented my DVR)
#10. Basketball (ie, the most exciting sport)

I like the time stoppages in NFL. It brings strategy into the game. The best part of football is you can see strategy unfold on the field. I know there is strategy employed in soccer (fake injuries, insult mothers/sisters, etc...) but it seems like the main strategy is what? Kick harder? Run...faster?

The reason why soccer doesn't catch on in America is two-fold. 1) All the best athletes here don't play it, so you know your getting a substandard product and 2) there are more options for sports here in the U.S. Anyone in the world can play soccer, you just need a ball. In the U.S. there is enough income to purchase football gear or baseball gear, etc.
