Let me tell you one thing the Cricket World Cup is the third most watched event is the world behind The Soccer World Cup and Olympics plus you could make the same case for any sport. |

Baseball and Softball are out in 2012. Cricket wasn't even on the list of sports trying to gain admittance in 2012. Golf, Roller Sports, Squash, Rugby sevens and Karate were. Squash and Karate were approved by more than half of the IOC, but by less than the 66% needed to make them official sports, something to do with recognizing their federation as olympic in status, so they can be considered as an offical olympic event. So no new sports for London. Summer Games are required to have 15 events and a maximum of 28, as it stands for 2012, there are 26. |
