Final major of the season starts on Thursday in Tusla, Oklahoma in what is forecasted to be high temperatures of 101F.

Notable Pairings and Tee Times include:

1st Hole Start Round 1 - 10th Hole Start Round 2
1:30 p.m. - 8:25 a.m. Vijay Singh, Mark Brooks, Davis Love III
1:50 p.m. - 8:45 a.m. Jeff Sluman, David Toms, Phil Mickelson

10th Hole Start Round 1 - 1st Hole Start Round 2
8:15 a.m. - 1:20 p.m. Tom Lehman, Sergio Garcia, Geoff Ogilvy
8:25 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. Ernie Els, Colin Montgomerie, Stewart Cink
8:45 a.m. - 1:50 p.m. Bob Tway, Rich Beem, Tiger Woods
8:55 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. Hunter Mahan, Henrik Stenson, K.J. Choi

All I remember from Southern Hills is a couple players being unable to make putts at the last hole, eventually leading to a Goosen playoff victory in the 2001 US Open.

I wouldn't be shocked to see those who did well in The Open Championship this July, doing well on this course.

John Daly!

Most of the big names played fine. Should be a good weekend.

Yeah it's shaping up to be interesting.

None of the big names shot themselves out of contention.

This Storm character is playing extremely well.

Phil is actually doing decent. I'm very pleased to see Daly up there. He needs a pick-me-up.

Tiger is only +1. He should make up ground tomorrow.

Yeah, no bogey is extremely impressive.

OMG!!! Tiger almost shot par! If he keeps this up, he might finish in the top25...

Not too scary for Tiger so far. The only real contenders are two better than him. Storm will falter and at the latest on Sunday Dalys wife will show up again and put his hands in a toaster...

Ames is making a nice habit of grabbing the lead at these majors... I predict a second comes to Canada within the next two-three years

Jesus. Daly is insane. Going for the green on his first tee of the day (#10, 366 yards). This kind of reckless attitude will cathc up with him sooner or later.

It's why he has such huge fan support...and why he's ranked 400+ in the world.

And it's so much fun, like on No. 17.

Terrific play by Tiger today. Ogilvy and Ernie are also hitting the balls well.

And Tiger takes the lead after 13...

Takes share of the lead with Ogilvy and Verplank.

I expect the lead to be at 5 or 6 under before the day is finished.

How many holes does Tiger have left? 3? So I guess make that 9 under or so. He's putting unbelievably well.

Hope Ogilvy could make one more birdie to be in the final group with Tiger tomorrow.

Post subject:  Re: 89th PGA Championship - Southern Hills

Ogilvy finished round one bogey, bogey so it wasn't completely surprising that he finished bogey, bogey today.

3 under, not too bad, but with Tiger in front and playing well, he's going to have pull off something special tomorrow.

Here are the players that are Even or better after two rounds:

1 Tiger Woods -6
2 Scott Verplank -4
T3 Geoff Ogilvy -3
T3 Stephen Ames -3
5 Woody Austin -2
T6 Niclas Fasth -1
T6 Pat Perez -1
T6 John Senden -1
T9 Camilo Villegas E
T9 Arron Oberholser E
T9 Ernie Els E
T9 John Daly E
T9 Adam Scott E
T9 Paul McGinley E

Notables
T15 Retief Goosen +1

T19 K.J. Choi +2
T19 Phil Mickelson +2
T55 Sergio Garcia +5

Missed Cut
T73 Jim Furyk +6
T73 Vijay Singh +6
T108 Rory Sabbatini +10

I think someone E or better is going to have to shoot a mid 60s round tomorrow, because I can't see Tiger shooting worse than E. I'd like to see Geoff make another charge, but without bogeying the last two like he did today.

Alright! It's just goin' make it all the better when his game goes down the toilet over the weekend, and he gets all pouty and stomps off without giving interviews! :hahaha:

C'mon Bradley. Tiger is mostly generous when it comes to interviews and press conferences. You never hear him bad talking other players whereas people like Sabatini want to call him out only to get beat down on the golf course later on. Tiger isn't going to falter in this one as we all know his stats when he has leads like this one. Plus, the last few PGA champions have all had the lead after the 2nd day and it being Tiger just solidifies his hold on this Major.

Plus, he's the Greatest Golfer of All Times!
Woot Woot!

Seems like you're pretending not only to watch mocies, but you're pretending to watch golf as well...

Tiger has the most pressure on him for probably any golfer ever. He's been in the spotlight even before he became pro.

I don't blame him for breaking down a few times.
