Yesterday was crazy! Nine overtime games, including three double OTs. We haven't looked too good this year. Probably going to be an 8th seed. But at least Maryland lost yesterday as well.

And it's Tournament Challenge time! I created a group at ESPN: name - WOKJ, password - wokj. If people also want to play on CNNSI or any other similar challenges, that's fine with me too.

Even though I suck at it I will go for it.

I just created one at Yahoo!, too.

Group ID# = 77911
Password = password

I'll join the one at ESPN, too.

Can we make the WoKJ group on Yahoo!?

I have a pay per bracket one on ESPN that's going to take up all my damn brackets.

The one I posted above is on Yahoo!, and it's WOKJ exclusive.

So, what about upsets?

I think the lower-ranked seed could win 50% of the first rounds in the Midwest. Old Dominion, Davidson, Winthrop, and G. Tech. It's a stretch, but all four of those teams are really, really underrated (and UMD doesn't deserve their seed, at all, Davidson could go sweet 16, Butler sucks).

I'm hoping G. Tech and Oregon face in the second round, that'd be a fun, fun, fun game.

In the West: 'Nova over Kentucky, no doubt. VCU over Duke? Nahhhhh, too risky. Zagzzzzz over Indiana? Hmm. V.Tech could go deep, reaaaaal deep.

In the East: Mich State over Marquete, Arky over USC, Texas Tech over BC. Whoever wins the future Wash State. vs GTown game is going final four. I'd cream my pants if GTown made it to the finals (and it's definitely a possibility, UNC is the most vulnerable #1 seed).

In the South: Xavier or BYU - who cares? They're both losing to OSU. Tenn could go deep, they look better than last year. Stanford over Louisville, Creighton over Nevada.

I'll join both. My brackets usually end up a mess but they're fun to keep track of.

I will be joining, but am only about 60% through picking my bracket. This year is an especially tough one. Hardest I can remember.

I entered my main bracket in both, and did 5 variations for ESPN.

Shit! My big sleeper pick is the first friggin game of the tourney. Man that is either gonna put me on a high or really stick me in a hole.

Oh well.

Davidson is looking really good right now. Running neck and neck with Maryland.

So I hope no one picked Stanford to go very far. They look absolutely awful, and are getting destroyed by Louisville.

The Maryland/Davidson game has been fantastic. Davidson is really, really good.

My gut said go with Davidson, but my heart said Maryland. FUCK THIS SHIT. This would be a great way to start off the tournament, though. A #4 loss.

I'm indifferent about the Tex. Tech/BC game - either one is losing, second-round. But, for 3 of my 4 brackets, a BC win would be nice.

(at least in my ESPN bracket, I have Butler beating Maryland secound round, but everyone's predicting OD to beat Butler, we'll find out tonight, I guess).

I picked Louisville to go to Sweet 16 with their big home court advantage. From the games I followed this year, Stanford looked slow and is very susceptible to an athletic team.

Davidson is certainly performing better than I expected. They didn't beat a team inside RPI top 100 all season, and given the performance Appalachian State gave in NIT, I thought both were kind of overrated.

I could have sworn I picked Louisville and not Stanford...

Oh well, I have them losing second round anyway.

Davidson is looking very impressive and them winning would bode well for me since Butler has a better chance of beating them than beating Maryland.

I picked ODU to advance two rounds with their senior leaderships. Last year they lost to 5th seed Michigan State by 8, so I figure they should be able to handle Butler, which other teams seem to have figured it out down the stretch, and then a young erratic Maryland team.

Good point, Chris. Even though I have UMD winning in four of my brackets, for the sake of my KJ bracket, Butler could advance to the sweet sixteen against Davidson.

BTW - Chris: I was looking at ValleyGuyChristian's Facebook friends yesterday, and I noticed "Chris" from OSU - is that you? lol

I have Butler going to the Elite 8, so hopefully Davidson wins.

And yea, that's me.

I thought you went to Miami, or are you doing grad at OSU? Either way, I'll friend you :)

Ross, can't believe you can't watch this Maryland/Davidson game. It's fantastic! You can kind of feel (and see) that Maryland is probably gonna pull this one out though. It looks like Davidson is tiring, and won't be able to keep up with a team as athletic as Maryland for an entire game.
