Here we go! Week one of what will hopefully prove to be a successful first-time game here at KJ. The poll for the two wild card games didn't get as many votes as I was hoping, so I'm picking the two games this week. Maybe next time you guys will vote.
The two wildcard games this week are:

Scoring will work like so: if you pick a game correctly, you get one point. If you pick a game incorrectly, you get no points. The wild card games are worth two points if picked correctly, and none if picked incorrectly. At the end of the week, I will add up the total points, and the winner will be the person with the highest number of points (obviously). This person will get a "1" in their win column. The person with the highest winning precentage going into the bowl games will create the tie-breaker questions for the bowl season. However, just because this person is leading going into bowl season by no means makes thme the winner. Each bowl game will be worth a potential 1 in the win column if picked correctly. I hope this makes sense to everybody, because I've got another twist I haven't told you about yet...
It's something I'll call the "upset special". Here's how it works...
Every week, there are normally a handful of shocking upsets in the college football world. It's one of the things that makes the game so great. So, in order to play off that, I've come up with the "upset special". Now, the way it'll work is, every week you pick a game that you think the underdog will win in. Highlight it as your upset special in your picks (see the Notre Dame vs. Georgia Tech game below for an example). If you call it right, you'll get an additional five points on your score for the week. If you get it wrong, you'll lose five points off your score for the week. It's important to note that you don't have to pick an upset special, so only do so if you feel truly confident in the pick. Even if you do pick an upset, it doesn't have to be a upset special. USE IT WISELY.
