Anyone following? Poor Tiger. It's obvious that he just isn't himself lately, it's a shame he had to go down that badly. I really dislike Mickelson, so I hope he doesn't pick up a 3rd straight major, I want Tiger to stay as the outright #1 for a while yet. For the winner, I don't think it'll be Montgomerie. I think it'll be someone relatively unknown. |

Padraig has put himself out of contention, I doubt anyone will catch Mickelson |

![]() Damn, now THAT was a finish. I don't care about the bad rep golf on tv gets, no sport touches it for drama. You couldn't script that any better. Unbelievable. Mickelson and Montgomery's chokejobs will go down as favorites for highlight reels for many years to come, no doubt. |

Yeah, unbelieveable finish. I had a feeling that could be the outcome after Monty's aweful 2nd shot on 18th. Destined two players the crowd was pulling for the most and who were heartbroken the most times would lose again. Ogilvy has had a very good year, winning the Open and Match Play. Look very promising. |

Just caught the highlight's. indeed the major's can prove some classic moment's. Not quite a Van De Velde choke but up there. |

All the articles are saying how Phil choked away the championship, but to me, Monty is the one who should regret the most. Once Phil hit that bad of a drive, his chance of getting up and down had been reduced to 50-50 at best. Monty was in perfect position 100 some yards from the pin for his second shot, and even after he played that bad of a shot, he still only needed to two-putt from 40 feet to get into the playoff. |

Phil also hit his 2nd shot into a tree to which it landed a few feet in front of him, it wasn't just his drive. If he had played it safe and pitched it out onto the fairway, instead of being bullish and going for the win, he could of easily gotten a bogey still to force the playoff. But I do agree, Montgomerie's really was a huge. Phil's was more of a boneheaded decision, Monty's was just an absolute choke from the pressure. |

Phil was looking at the playoff after his first shot; he lost the tournament after his second shot. Monty was looking at a win after his first shot, a playoff after his second shot, and lost the tournament on his 5th shot. That's why I said Monty should feel much worse. |
