Must say really really great start of new season. Lots of taking over, and quite entertaining race. Hoped for a bit more in duels Alonso-Schumacher and Raikkonen-Button at end of the race, but still was bloody good. Aside from winner Alonso, was impressed by +19 places from Kimmi, and great ride of Rosberg. |

Yes! Absoultely brilliant season opener (and im always at the first here in Melbourne) I just hope the Melbourne race is as good in 3 weeks. Kimi was absolutely brilliant making his way from last to 3rd. A great battle between Alonso and Michael Schumacher up front and Rosberg was incredible. What a revelation. Ive been a fan of his since his GP2 season last year but I never expected such a great debut race. The good thing to come out of the first race is that it looks like for the firt time in a long long time we have 5 teams capable of winning races - Renault, Ferrari, Mclaren, Honda and even Williams. What do you think will be the order this week in Malaysia Nebs? I'll put my neck up and say we will see the Williams drivers fighting at the top. I think Ferrari will drop down a little because of the heat and also the fact they havnt got the testing advantage they had in Bahrain. Mclaren and Renault will be strong and Button in the Honda should be fighting for his first win. |

The Malaysian GP was forgetable but Bahrain was brilliant. Get your hands on it if you can. Yes - the Australian GP in Melbourne is on this weekend. I will be at the track starting tomorrow. It is usually the season opener but not this year due to the commonwealth games. Button and Honda are doing fine. He is 3rd in the championship but the Mclarens are stronger and should overhaul him. |

Woohoo! Button got pole! Again...blinding lap though. Doubtful as it is, maybe he'll actually make it stick this time. |

Yah, I love F1. I'm a self-obssessed Ferrari fan, because I'm Italian. But after last year, I will have to wait and see. So it will be me, a bag of chips and a coke and maybe a family sized pizza to bring in the new season. |

Oh MY god. ![]() ![]() Good show from Raikonnen and Ralph Schumaker though. I hope Alonso doesn't dominate too much over the rest of the season, but he's on for the championship again I reckon. DAMMIT! Poor Button ![]() |

Yeah it was an action packed race. Was seated near the start finish line so got to see alot including Buttons blowup, Montoyas screw up and then parking it and offcourse Michael Schumacher putting into the wall. Atleast Kimi came second - here's hoping that he can reel in Alonso from here on. |

lol. i try to avoid bogans all together. It's easier in Sydney, Melbourne or Perth, but everywhere else its like everyone is a blue collar worker who have been drinking since 10am. "the hard way" Do tell me the story. |

"the hard way" Do tell me the story. haha maybe that was a bit misleading - certainly no "Deliverence" type hard way lol Just when we went out the first night - I was expecting the usual Adelaide welcome of plenty of great girls out numbering guys - instead everywhere i looked I saw bogan after bogan with beer guts and pointy goatees. Plus the smell of beer and BO. It was repulsive. ![]() |

The San Marino GP is on tonight. Should be interesting. Schumacher has his 66th pole - finally overtaking Senna's record - but its taken him many may more races. The Hondas are lighter on fuel and the Mclaren's and Renault's will be heavier. The first corner will be the most interesting part of what most likely will be a fairly processional race. Here is the grid: San Marino qualifying breakdown Session 1 Session 2 Session 3 Pos Driver Team Pos Time Lap Pos Time Lap Pos Time Lap 1. Dave Richards and Prodrive get the 12th spot for 2008, but Alesi and Direxiv are saying they'll enter in 2007 and dig in there heels if the other teams try and turf them out for 08. Should be an interesting fight. |

Schumi and Ferrari win again. It looks like we might actually have a bit of a title fight on our hands after all. Here's hoping Ferrari Mclaren et al can take the fight to Renault in Spain as well. |
