As you know, the Olympics are so boring that the only thing worth considering is which countries will win the most medals. Canada is aiming for 25, and I predict we will get that number. Cause we roque! :shout:

Ok, my prediction:

1. Germany, 30-36
2. Norway, 25-30-ish
3. Canada :shout: 25-ish
4. USA 20-ish

Canada looks to be pretty strong this year, so I also think they can nab 25 medals. I hope they make it!

PEACE, Mike.

Ok, so now Norway is leading with 3, followed by Germany with 2, and Austria with 1. Germany has now claimed the first (and so far only) 2 gold medals. Go Deutschland  But better yet, go Canada!

booo box, its not boring!

i'd say canada will do pretty well in the medals.
I think russia will win a few in the skating.
I think we (GB) will be lucky if we win one- if we do i predict it will be in curling or skeleton.- or maybe the women's bob sleigh.
The US will probably get lots, as will germany

on a random note, I think we had the crappest outfits last night for the opening ceremony!
mongolia had the best hats!!

I remember the USA finished first or second in 2002. They took home around 40ish I think.

Canada set a record too, with 20-25 or something.

You're off. The US won a total of 34 medals, 1 behind #1 Germany, while Canada won 17, good enough for the 4th spot.

Anyways, as of now, Norway leads with a total of 5, no gold yet. US and Germany have the most golds, 2 each.

1. Norway 5
2. USA 3
3. Germany 2

I was watching the snowboarding (a sport usually heavily dominated by the Americans) and a Canadian was up (men's halfpipe) and he had this remarkable run with great speed and jumps, and then he completely falls at the end ruining it and the last bit. I felt so bad, because I think he would have won a medal otherwise. His entry was so good, and he was really pumped.

Happy for Canada overall thus far though! A Gold and a Bronze! Nice.

PEACE, Mike.
