 Premature Celebrations
I was watching a football match last night (Arsenal v Wigan), near to the end the team winning sarcastically started doing trick passes (ole!) to each other thinking they had the win in the bag, suffice to say, in the last minute of they match they conceded a goal, thus losing overall.
I just watched a small section on the sports news about "premature celebrations", it featured one many of you yanks may remember -
The Superbowl '93, cant remember the team or player, but the player was clear to the line, started jogging/celebrating to the touchdown line, one of the opposing players caught up and fumbled. That guy must've felt a right tit.
Any other premature celebrations y'all can think of?

I liked the really famous one where the marching band starting playing the field prematurely, then the quarterback threw an interception and they lost the game. Forget what teams they were though.

There is the (in)famous Stanford-Cal game in college football where the marching band and fans were on the field as the players returned the kickoff for a touchtown to win the game.
There is also the Derek Fisher shot when he had only 0.4 second to shoot to beat the Spurs in the playoff, after Duncan hit a miraculous shot, and everybody in the stadium was celebrating.
