http://sports.yahoo.com/ncaaf/news;_ylt ... &type=lgns DALLAS (Ticker) - Vince Young apparently has decided he has nothing left to prove on the collegiate level. According to a report in the Dallas Morning News, Young will declare for the NFL draft on Sunday afternoon, four days after the quarterback led Texas to its first national championship in 35 seasons. On Wednesday, Young rallied the Longhorns from a 12-point deficit in the final five minutes to upset Southern California in the Rose Bowl, 41-38. The Heisman Trophy runner-up, Young capped a brilliant performance by running for a go-ahead eight-yard touchdown on fourth down with 19 seconds left. Young completed 30-of-40 passes for 267 yards and rushed 20 times for 200 yards and three touchdowns for the Longhorns, who snapped the Trojans' 34-game winning streak. He became the first player in NCAA history to pass for 3,000 yards and rush for 1,000 in the same season. Young's godmother, Yolande Levine, told the Morning News that the quarterback and his mother, Felicia, met with Young's pastor, Samuel H. Smith, in his hometown of Houston on Sunday morning to finalize the decision. By virtue of having the worst record in the NFL this season, the Houston Texas have the No. 1 pick and will face enormous local pressure to select Young. However, the team appears set at quarterback with David Carr and is expected to pick USC running back Reggie Bush - assuming the Heisman winner declares for the draft. i'm mixed in my emotion. i'm glad he's going pro after having one of the best games ever but then again i want him to comeback and see if he can get that hesiman trophy and another championship. ![]() now there will be battle again between Bush and Young for #1 draft pick. w00t! |

Texans is taking Bush, so New Orlean is holding the card at No. 2 (they have No. 2 pick, right?). I still think they will go for Leinart. None of the next three teams needs a quarterback that urgently, so it'll be interesting to see how high a team is willing to trade up to grab Young. |

He will be a great pic, that game he was absolutely rediculous. the last 12 seconds, when he ran it in his style is like "Yea I just won the game completely on my own" It was amazing. |

I will also add that Vince is much bigger than an average College Quarterback. I would say hes bigger than the Mannings. |
