As for the Top 10, I agree mostly with each player, but Jerry Rice is ranked too high.

good idea on the colors.

also your one pick didn't show up well - guess when it is the same choice.

question - are you a cowboy fan? I use to like the cowboys and smith but I am not sure about smith being the best of all time - I wonder even if he was better than dorsett?

I think Sanders should be in the top ten, but Jim Brown being number 1 was a good call, since he dominated, no he DOMINATED.

just curious based on some of your responses - did you get to see those players play or are your choices through readings.

Mostly just through readings and seeing clips of them play. I got to see Reggie White play in his prime and saw Rice play. Most of my choices are typical choices, I've always thought Lawrence Taylor was overrated, so I went with Butkus.

- On LT, I think his career was not balanced, he was a much greater player in the first half, then the second half, of his career.

Jim Brown and Barry Sanders were better than Payton... not that Payton was a stinker, just he'd be at #3 on my list.

I'd pick Sanders at #1... looking at what he did without an offensive line or a decent QB (Scott Mitchell?!?!) makes it that much more amazing. In my opinion Emmit Smith is the most overrated. I could have run for 1000+ yards with the teams he played behind.
