Why would Braves win game 3 in Houston against Oswalt with their No. 3 starter Sosa, especially if they lose the first two at home? Sosa pitched well, but haven't proven himself under pressure. I'd say it's their most vulnerable game. Hudson is their best chance, then followed by Smoltz. I see them split at home, lose game 3 and win game 4. Being a Braves fan, then I'll go with them in game 5.

I like the way you think. At least for the ALDS.
Of course, I must predict a White Sox victory every game for the next (hopefully) 3 weeks.

I do think you guys are underestimating the Padres.
So what if they suck! There's usually a suprise.
My predictions:
Boston in Four
Anaheim in Five
Atlanta in Three
San Diego in Five ()
Yeah, I know. I'm an idiot. Remember, though: If a San Diego pitcher threw a ball really, really hard at Pujols, St. Louis would have no team. Pitchers are unpredictable, anyways. Carpenter alone isn't enough for St. Louis to win.

I think Atlanta is the underestimated horse here. They'll be in it this year, you don't go 14 consecutive division wins and not have a sturdy team.

The Padres almost came back but the Cards have taken Game 1. Everyone who did the individual game picks got this right so it's 1 all.

5 run first inning for the White Sox
I hate the White Sox for knocking the Indians out of the playoffs, but I love seeing Boston lose. So go White Sox!!

I can't believe the majority picked the angels over the Yankees. Its the goddamn Yankees! They're like the ultimate franchise. They won't go down to a first-year team(well they were Anaheim but first year anyways).

And Boston's pitching isn't going to get better for the next couple of games. Both Wells and Wakefield are hittable, and I will take Buehrle and Garland over them any day. It'll be White Sox' best interest to end this in 3 before Schilling takes the mound.

With the loss today (Which luckily I didn't see all of, or else I might have vomited) I am almost confident that the series is going the distance, and it wouldn't surprise me if the Red Sox do to the White Sox, to what they did to the Cleveland Indians and Oakland Athletics in '99 and '03, and that is come back from being down 2-0.
As much as I like Wells, and as much as he has pitched well as of late, Mark Buherle is almost unbeatable. Still I am holding out hope, but it wouldn't surprise me if the Red Sox are down 2-0. However with the way Wakefield has been pitching (Besides the last Yankees game), and with the way the Sox play at home, they should make it 2-1. Then if Schilling can muster 80% of what he was last year, the BoSox should take Game 4.
As for Game 5.......................................................................I'm not so sure.

Dang it! That's the first time this season the Angels lost to the Yankees.
