 The National Hockey League Thread
Well, after a year and a half off.....its time for some hockey. The NHL season starts on Oct/5th.It will be very interesting to see how the season plays out as there were many players shuffled around this year and a few new rule changes.I missed hockey alot (was wearing my Team Canada jersey today),but Im Canadian and we all love hockey.Your thoughts on the upcoming season? Go Bruins!!

Go Wild! Go Penguins!
Oh and its a year and a half later, but I thought I'd mentioned that I still think Calgary got completley cheated out. That Gelina got it physically in the net. Even the replays showed it perfectly. BUT NO THE LIGHT DIDN'T GO ON! Bastards.

My team (Boston) and your team (Pittsburgh) play on Oct/8.Im kind of excited about that game.Sidney Crosby is from Nova Scotia and I hope he does well. The Pens picked up some great talent in the off season and added alot of depth, but thats not gonna help them when the Bruins kick their ass this Saturday.

MWHAHAHAHA. I do like Calgary too though, just to clarify.
And Ovechkin owned tonight. It seems hes the forgotten number 1 pick, from 2004. All the attention has been on mr. Sidney Crosby. I'd love to see Ovechkin beat his ass for a while at least.

The Bruins let in the go ahead goal with 11.2 seconds to go?
I wish I saw the game even though they lost. I've missed hockey and I'm glad to see it back.

This sucks. Sundin is out, O'Neil is out and the Leafs lose from a shootout. Not a good way to start the season.

What a game eh, Bruins 7 Pens 6. I did good in my hockey pool, I have 4 bruins and 4 pens, so I racked up the points.

Pens aren't doing very good. Last night was close, but there just isn't room for a "Close" category, next to Wins and Losses.

It will come. There is too much talent on that team to not start winning
Mario Lemieux
Sidney Crosby
Mark Recchi
John LeClair
Ziggy Palfy
Sergei Gonchar
Just to name a few.I never really liked the Pens but I have some intrest now that Sidney Crosby is there.

I'm happy... the Habs are kickin' ass, and Toronto is losing big time. Hehe. It's awesome.
Nah, just kidding. I want all Canadian teams to do well. So far, Montreal, Edmonton and Ottawa are doing sweet. Vancouver is doing well too. Just Toronto and Calgary doing iffy.
Who do you guys think will win in tonights games?
Philadelphia @ Toronto
Ottawa @ Montreal
Chicago @ St. Louis
Phoenix @ Dallas
Edmonton @ Los Angeles
PEACE, Mike.

It's too hard to watch the leafs in such a position. They got the offense but the back end just sucks so hard. Eddy needs to sharpen up.

Sidney Crosby was voted rookie of the month in the NHL, pretty good for a little old Nova Scotia boy.
