Amazing defense by mavs. They rarely gave any easy dunks or layups. Good win for mavs.

I think Rick Carlisle being >> Avery Johnson helps the Mavs. They did everything right and adjusted really well after the first half

Good so far. Yao is knocking down shots and drawing fouls. The bench players need to keep it going though.

 Re: NBA 2008-2009 season
I can't remember ever seeing a stats line as perfect as what Yao had in the first half for a NBA playoff. For college, I know the Latterner's game against Kentucky and Walton's championship performance, and Yao had a similar one for the CBA final, but this is as good as I've seen him.
Roy is still fantastic, but the Rockets contained the others well. Need not to have the letdown like they had against the Mavs, as Blazers are a very efficient offensive team.

 Re: NBA 2008-2009 season
The Lakers were cool and efficient against the Jazz. Really, the only thing that the Jazz have advantage wise is PG. Deron was able to get his assists but couldn't knock down his shot. I think the Jazz have a shot to take a few games this series if Deron explodes.

This may be the best batch of first games ever. Four road teams winning; two of them coming back from double-digit deficits and one of them going into OT. And the next two games SHOULD be close. first time that's happen in the NBA.

Miami looks like ass. Garbage team outside of Wade
Jermaine O'Neal is a corpse... Miami is paying 30 mil to him and Blount next year on a 57 mil cap... Ouch!

I wish Atlanta wasn't in Cleveland's bracket. I think they could take Boston or Orlando in their current states

The East is just sad. I'm now worried about the Cavs literally falling asleep on the floor before the finals.

The difference between games? Rose never drove to the basket. 0 FT attempts.

The difference is that Ray can hit a three with the pressure on and Pierce can't hit a free throw with the pressure on. Still, Chicago completely has the edge. They can easily win in six. Today he did. He was awful for part of the playoffs last season and was awful on Saturday.

 Re: NBA 2008-2009 season
I don't watch a lot of basketball but I watched the celts bulls.
Amazing how many walks aren't called in last quarter.
Eiither steps under the basket or extra movement away frpm the ball.
Does the nba want to seem more exciting and just not call these things to stop the game.
