Captains need to step up when their team needs them. He didn't.

Re: NHL 2012-13 Season
I still can't believe last night happened. First team in NHL history to come back down three goals in the third period of a Game 7. They never should've put themselves in that position, but they got themselves out of it. One of the best Bruins games I've seen.
And I just want to put this here so I can watch it over and over again.
Bruins @ Canucks - Game 7 (2011) Maple Leafs @ Bruins - Game 7 (2013) Canadiens @ Bruins - Game 6 (2008) (the game that resurrected hockey in Boston)
Honestly I’m not that enraged. The Leafs were playing with house money. Ending the playoff drought is what needed to happen this year. Then after they got in, the main thing I wanted was a 6 game or more, competitive series. I felt worse after the first game than the seventh one because I didn’t want them to get their ass kicked for a 4-5 game series and revealed as short season benefactor frauds.
Despite the ending, still a great season and an important step forward. Fun team.

Marchand!
Bruins deserved that win. They outshot the Rangers 16-5 in overtime (8 on the one power play) and hit four goal posts in the third/OT. They were also the faster team. With a couple of exceptions (Rick Nash was the only one close to matching the Bruins speed in OT) the Rangers just seemed stationary.
And Krug got a goal. He did a great job of filling in for Seidenberg. With his puck movement you could hardly tell he's a rookie. Now with a couple of days rest we can hopefully get at least one of our injured D's back heading into Game 2.

Also, Torres gets suspended for the rest of the Sharks/Kings series, and it turns out that Ovechkin was playing with a hairline fracture in his left foot.
