Should have been two golds. 1/100 second after 2000 meters. There should be a point where they just say: Okay those two have been equally good

Re: Official Summer Olympics 2008 Thread
I can't believe how many bullshit calls the chinese basketballers got. That game was fixed. What a joke!! It's pathetic how much they're doing to keep the Chinese in. I find these Olympics pathetic in the fight against doping, pathetic regarding the empty stadiums and pathetic in terms of organisation. Worst Olympics in years

OMG! American Tyson Gay placed 5th in his 100m heat race and so did NOT make it to the final. His olympic is pretty much done. Not sure if he'll be chosen to be part of the men 4x100m relay race though. I hope he is.

The guy jogged to a 9.9 yesterday. HOLY SHIT!!!! click on spoiler for the finals results. :whaa: Bolt took the gold in a record 9.69 seconds Richard Thompson of Trinidad &Tobago got the silver at 9.89 seconds and American Walter Dix got the bronze with 9.91 seconds. . . . all the way in 5th place was Asafa Powell with 9.95 seconds.

now i'm more pissed off that Tyson Gay didn't make it to the finals. He could've gotten a silver at least.

At least an Dix got bronze to represent America. NBC just had the "NBA on NBC" theme music during the bball game. Brings back memories. with Powell not even making the top 3 we could've had 2 americans win medals. "NBA on NBC" those were the golden age of the NBA.

Re: Official Summer Olympics 2008 Thread
Tests mean nothing if the substance is too new to be detected.
All of sports is at the worst state it has ever been. The doping has gotten completely out of control. EPO has nothing against this new wonder drug. 9.69 with open shoes and jogging is not humanyly possible without chemical help, neither are the achievement of Michael Phelps, the australian swimmers and the german gold medalist. It's a sad, sad 14 days for sports

Re: Official Summer Olympics 2008 Thread
Liu Xiang of China is going down! He's going to be upset at the 110m hurdle final next week by an American. if he makes it that far. he might just pull a Tyson Gay and not even qualify for the finals.

I agree with Levy, these athletes who are shattering records are doping IMO.

she lost the same way the guy the Phelps beat last night. she stretch for the wall while the other girl took half stroke (like Phelps did) to win. still though that's her 2nd silver of these games.
