You're crazy Jedi

Raiders are prime to win the division if the Broncos falter. They lost their #1 and 2 RB and WR last year and had half a quarterback, and still managed a better record then the Chiefs. Chiefs will have to settle for 3rd this year as Chargers look like they'll be worst

The Raiders have lost 5 starters already, (starting LB, CB, DE, OL, and TE) and most reliable RB in Michael Bush. They haven't signed anyone. They have also have a lot of issues on defense. And I don't trust Carson Palmer. Matt Cassel is a better QB than him and that isn't saying anything.

I couldn't believe that the Broncos got Manning!! Woohoo!! Still need to beef up the team to make a deep run in the playoffs and Manning make need to work out the kinks, but I haven't been this excited since the Elway days! (this includes the Tebow era). I still have my old Elway jersey (prior to the jersey change) and haven't been to a Denver game since 1998 ... but I may have to go now and may even get another jersey!

Yes, I realize I am probably overreacting, but oh well.

First they are throwing Tebow to the Jets so he won't play. I can't see him playing there any time soon. Unless it is like a Brad Smith scenario. Second, that penalty is harsh for Payton. Bill Belichick was accused of worse and got away with a slap on the wrist. I wonder what the Saints will do. They could try to appeal. If not who will coach the team?

Unless they somehow find this great new coach, Saints are screwed. Payton was one of the NFLs best coach and losing him is going to have an impact. The loss of draft picks will hurt them for seasons to come.

Jets getting Tebow is moronic. Sanchez will be even worse because of this and the NY media will kill Tebow everytime he loses.

Well it is for only one season. They could manage and probably will be fine offensively because of Brees. I am guessing the Offensive coordinator who everybody thinks will be a head coach eventually will be the interim head coach. They could still make the playoffs as long as the Brees situation gets resolved. The draft picks are a bigger long term problem

This is the greatest day in NFL history!

Thank you Payton for practically erasing "Spygate" and thank you Jets for continuing to shoot yourselves in the fucking foot. :funny:

Oh, and karma's a bitch, ain't it?

Yep, stealing signals is much worse than handing out bonuses for intentionally hurting people. :funny:

However, I think every team did that. Steeler players like Ham and Lambert said it was their goal to hurt the other team's QBs. I have heard stories that Giant players got rewards for hurting Montana and other QBs. So, really this is nothing new and has been going on for 30 years. It is just the Saints got caught and are being made an example. To me cheating is worse, although betting and throwing games are probably still the worse thing that could happen, although I don't think that really goes on any more on the pro level.

unfortunately for them they got caught. Good.

Also:
The Saints GM got suspended for 8 games.
Former defensive coordinator Gregg Williams (Now with the Rams) has been suspended indefinitely.
Team fined $500,000 and will have to give up its second-round picks in the 2012 and 2013 NFL Drafts.

and sucks for Tebow haha...

That's a joke, right? Lets use your blind hate for the Patriots for an example. Would you hate the Patriots more if...

A. They were caught stealing signals from other teams.
B. They were caught putting bounties out on opposing teams players.

Think really hard. Here's a little help.

A - Signals can always (and should be always) changed to avoid repetition so the other team doesn't figure out what you're doing.
B - Bounty hunters. Outside of football, these are people that are paid to kill people. In football, bounties are used as incentives to intentionally try to injure opposing players.

If you answered (A), you're a moron.

The least they could've done was make their actions more discreet. And to blatantly fly in the face of the commissioner after he has told you repeatedly to stop because he has direct evidence against you...

Say what you will about the Patriots, but at least they weren't trying to knock opposing players out of games.

Payton deserves the year, if not more.

Williams deserves to be banned.

The Jets had a chance to back out of the deal and they still went through with it. I'm truly amazed by their incompetence. I can't wait to see this blow up in their faces. What's the best case scenario for this - hope Sanchez plays perfectly and use Tebow in the "Wildcat", because that sure as shit ain't going to happen. Sanchez is going to be looking over his shoulder all through training camp, and all through the regular season. I give him eight weeks, whether it be because of injury or psyche, before Tebow is the starter and the Jets will be even more fucked.

I wonder if they'll try to use Tebow as a chip for a trade during the draft. That'd be the only way this deal could make sense for them.

Actually, I don't hate the Pats and consider them my second favorite team after the Chiefs. I just find cheating worse and throwing games the worse sin. My point is this thing went on for decades and Steeler players in the 70s encouraged. The goal of the defense was to seriously hurt the QB. Lambert, Ham, and others admitted it back then. The reason the game has changed is they don't want to hurt their investments. What worries me is the game will be become tag football. It is ridiculous you can't hardly touch the QB and get a roughing the passer call.

Ok for some reason I didn't notice his quote. Also, I wasn't pointing out spygate persay as being worse than bountygate. However, I can think of examples of cheating that would be far worse than bounties.
