It was only one fan who went "after" Sheffield (It was more of a bitch slap, but still it wasn't okay for him to interfere with Sheffield), not a group of fans, so don't put all Red Sox fans into that category. I didn't put all Yankee fans into that category after they showered the field last year during the ALCS with batteries and baseballs after the umpire made the correct call.
99% of Yankee and Red Sox fans are civilized and are good and knowledgable fans of the game.

And if you look at the footage in slow motion, the guy isnt even looking at Sheffield. He was just being a jackass and trying to go after a ball-in-play.

Come on! Even Die Hard Red Sox Fan Bill Simmons from ESPN admitted the guy was trying to smack Sheffield and nothing else.

I would think, if you're trying to smack someone, you wouldnt be completely ignoring their presence. That's just me, I guess.

Can you believe how bad those Yankees are. They're already behind 0-6 after two innings. I wonder how many games they can lose before Steinbrenner threatens to fire Torre...

The White Sox are just keeping it warm for the Tribe, first will be theirs soon enough  . Once their offense actually wakes up they will start racking up some wins. Their bullpen has been outstanding and their starters have been pretty good as well.

man yesterdays game was grand. Hafner got hit with the bases loaded and the Tribe win. Their offense doesn't look to be picking up tonight though. The Royals made two errors in a row and we couldn't capitolize.

If the pitching stays as it has been (They've given up 6 runs or more in 4 of the 12 games. Not bad compared to last season)
This will be the needed series, though. Like the Cavs, the Indians demolish the awful awful teams. This might provide the boost needed (ya know, a bit of confidence!)
And, yeah, 5-0. Lee, keep it up.
Finally, J.Ho(nny) gets a hit!

Talk about winning ugly, only 1 of the 4 pitchers the Sox used tonght DIDNT cause me to have a nervous breakdown.
2 pitchers walking the bases loaded, and then luck out of it with a double play. Let up a solo HR in the 9th to cut the lead in half... UUUGGGLLLY. Oh well, still won, and sole possession of first place!!

Why? Because he dissed Fever Pitch? I really like his writing style - and I'm a Yankees fan...
