Re: Levy's Ramblings aka NFL Power Ranking: Week 8
True on Manning as he has been the weakest link on the Giants.
But he did make a great 4th down clutch throw last week.

He over-threw Toomer who had to make a GREAT catch.
Because Toomer is from Michigan.

Because Toomer is from Michigan. sorry but the ball wasn't overthrown, it was placed perfectly. Toomer made a catch most receivers should make. Good not Great. The Great part was the throw. edit...and if you understood football, Manning threw the ball a yard in front, where Toomer was the only guy who could catch it. If it was thrown any shorter, the ball could have been knocked away or intercepted. so GREAT throw and good catch.

if it was only thrown a yard in front of him he wouldn't have needed to dive. but he dove. because the ball was over thrown

Chip [Bot] wrote: if it was only thrown a yard in front of him he wouldn't have needed to dive. but he dove. because the ball was over thrown just watched it again and he didn't dive, it was a yard in front of him and he fell forward catching it .... and again if it was thrown any shorter, it would have been knocked away.... and again if you understood football, most QB's on deep throws lob the ball and let the receiver run under it...but here it had to be thrown on such a perfect arc as there was no time.... anyway Chip as usual you show you can't be fair on the Giants.... or the play is too much of a reminder of that incredible Giants pass play by Manning that gave the Super Bowl to the Giants - the best team of 2007 & 2008.

Any QB can make the occasional throw. And you just said Manning was average. Mmm... I will savor this victory for a LONG LONG LONG time.
And if Plax keeps going the way he's going, Manning may not be fine. Toomer and Smith are really the only go to WR's. Manningham is a bust, just like at Michigan.

Manningham is a bust, just like at Michigan. you really are such a fool - maybe I should bring out the tape of Michigan getting their ass kicked by USC. Boy, you sure know your stuff with Michigan fucking up every year... and you want to talk about busts, lets start with Mike Hart..... anyway, lets start with what I said Probably right now he is in the middle of the pack but that doesn't mean he can't make big plays which we have all seen him do!!!!!!!!!!!
and the GIANTS are so talented at WR and RB, Manning is fine.Big deal there are 10 QB's better than him right now but he was good enough with the Giants team to win those 10 straight road games last year, right to the Super Bowl win. and good enough to get the Giants to be the #1 NFC team right now. if one gets their team a few wins, that is one thing but Manning has done it for the Giants for a 1 and a half so far....so big deal, he is doing the job!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Also on Mario M, Smith was a bust to game 10 last year so ass lets not talk about him yet as the jury is still out. and on the WR, Plax is fine even at half speed and then you still have Hixon plus a few others to count on.

You can't name wide receivers that nobody knows.
Mike Hart is NO bust. He dominated preseason. He played in one game before he got injured. Injury does not equal bust unless he KEEPS getting injured.

If you watched the Giants, you would know about him as he has a 17 yard catch average. But now I understand how meaningless your opinion is on the Giants as you don't know enough about them.

Chip [Bot] wrote: Why would I care about an average team? well I see that your NFL analysis, is as bad as your baseball and college football picks. Anyway the Giants were/are the Best Team in the NFL, 2007 & 2008. And it is too bad that Brady got hurt as I would have loved to have seen Brady get sacked some more by the Giants this year. That is if the Pats would be lucky enough to get into the Super Bowl again this year.

And beating a weak Florida team doesn't impress me.

But you're talking about one of the winnest programs of all time. They won a national championship 11 years ago. They were undefeated until they played Ohio State two years ago. The program doesn't suck. This year they are brutal yeah, but not always.

Not if Tennessee beats one of the best defenses and one of the best offenses in the NFL.
