Re: NHL 2008-2009 Season - Playoffs! at least your team made it to the Finals in back to back years. and won the first year. Cowboys haven't won a playoff game in forever. Rangers haven't made the playoffs in forever. Stars haven't made it to the Finals in forever. Mavs blew a 2-0 lead in the Finals 3 years ago.

It's pretty amazing that a guy who was pulled in Game 5 after allowing five goals made quite the name for himself in those last two. And not for a lack of trying on Detroit's part either. Tired or not, they tried on quite a number of great chances.

Re: NHL 2008-2009 Season - Playoffs! The part about the Conference Finals is true, but the Penguins weren't the fresher team. Before the Finals the Red Wings had played in 16 games compared to the Penguins 17. And the extra game against the Blackhawks didn't mean anything. That wasn't the difference in the series.
