Talk about two anti-climatic conference finals. The Blackhawks performance is to be expected somewhat because they're young, but the Hurricanes are just flat out embarrassing themselves.

I get the feeling that if it's between the Caps and the Flyers the Caps will be the other team simply because of Ovechkin. They shouldn't even be in the discussion though. It should be between the Canadiens, the Rangers and the Flyers. Those are the only three teams the Bruins should face at Fenway. If the first two teams aren't on the table then I hope the Flyers wind up being the team.

Nah, Pittsburgh is better than they were last year. I'd give them an extra game. I think they'll give the Red Wings a good fight, except unlike last year they'll be in all of the games.

I think Pittsburgh's going to give Detroit a real run for their money this year. They'll want revenge, and they'll be healthier.

I think it'll play out exactly the same as the last time the same two teams met in the finals in back-to-back years (which was '83 + '84 with the Islanders and Oilers): established dynasty team wins the first, up-and-coming young, skillfull team wins the second, establishing their own dynasty in the progress.

Of course, now that I've said that, Detroit will probably sweep.

I think Detroit wins again, they're just stacked and too good of a foil for Pitt, with Datsyuk and Zetterberg being so good defensively against the other teams' top lines. It'll be like the last two finals, the West team has insane defense that shuts down the star reliant East team

detroit is just too good. honestly michigan needs a stanley cup victory. the shape that the state is in is just pathetic and this would at least ease the pain a little. the team is motivated.

Lidstrom and Datsyuk will probably both either sit or play limited time in game 5 to be rested for Pitt.

Carolina is pathetic.

Carolina put up a good fight for two games, but that 7-4 loss in Game Two seemed to put a damper on them. Not to mention going to Seven Games twice against Boston and Jersey.

It's pretty damn cool that the Penguins are in the Stanley Cup finals two years in a row. And most likely for the first time in 25 years, two teams will make the Stanley Cup finals two years in a row.
