 Re: NBA 2008-2009 season
Joe Johnson, OJ Mayo and Durant were chosen to participate in HORSE. I like Durant because he has made some crazy in-game shots. I wish they would have chosen Love though since he's already been snubbed from the Rookies-Sophs game.

Mo Williams finally made the all star team. Pacers have beaten LA, Boston, and Orlando this season. Tied with the Cavs after one.

Outside LeBron, the Cavs are shooting 6 for 30.
That's pretty fucking horrible against the worst defensive team in the NBA...

Nuggets played very well in the 1st half and the 4th quarter today. I don't really know what happened in the 3rd quarter (& 1st few minutes of the 4th).

Wow. I watched the 2nd half of the Bulls/Pistons game ... and somehow Detroit lost it.

 Re: NBA 2008-2009 season
Good win for the C's tonight. The prospects for this game looked kind of bleak heading in from the way they've been playing lately, but they just ran over the Hornets in the second half.
And at least Ray Allen's thumb shouldn't be too serious. It wouldn't surprise me if he decided to sit out the All-Star just so something doesn't happen, but at least the x-ray came back negative.

Maybe, maybe not. He's been there nine times. If he can play (which he probably will) he will.

The Magic/Nuggets game was one of the ugliest games I've seen lately. There were countless turnovers on both sides. Somehow the Nuggets came out on top.

Well yes, both teams turned the ball over at the end various times and Gordon was fouled on a 3-pt attempt (don't foul on a jump shoot), but it did make it exciting. And I wouldn't classify the pass from Wade to Marion anything but that. I thought the Celtics game had a lot more crappy basketball game with plenty of turnovers.

It was a great game for me to watch obviously, but as a casual fan I probably would've been bored. Shack wrote: Damn the Mavs are chokers Or Pierce is amazing.

 Re: NBA 2008-2009 season
It's official: Raptors acquire Marion from HeatWow, after all this time I didn't think it was going to go through. Maybe Riley wanted to make sure that O'Neal was healthy. O'Neal has looked much better recently and has had some decent games. For Toronto, you now have Marion as the 3, Bosh as the 4 and Bargnani as the 5. For Miami, you have Haslem as the 4 and O'Neal as the 5. Who plays the 3? Beasley? He's too slow for small forwards still, though he has been improving. Do they use Jones or Diawara. Neither are true starting material imo...

 Re: NBA 2008-2009 season
We also give up our 1st the next time we make the playoffs. fuck me. Deal is pure damage control IMO. I guess in this recession, giving up a 21 mil contract next year for an expiring, sounds like a move to do. But I wish it didn't come with the baggage. We traded TJ, Rasho's expiring, Moon, and two 1sts for capspace and Banks' shitty contract. Colangelo is having a worse year than Eddy Curry!

 Re: NBA 2008-2009 season
Durant just ate the rookie team. Him in this game is just unfair. Man among children. Except he's younger than almost all the rooks, lol.
This guy is going to be unreal... generational player for sure. He's only TWENTY. I love how he's competitive and has an edge too, even in a game like this... he's much more of a Jordan/Kobe in attitude than a Vince or TMac. Scary.

I usually don't like watching the rookie/sophs game because it seems that everyone is trying to show off. This year was different. People were defending, boxing out, rotating and even passing the ball. Now, it wasn't the same as a normal game per say. Nonetheless it made for a great game to watch. And wow at Durant. That was insane. It seems he got a bit winded at the end or he would have gotten to 50. Amazing game. He's a shooting guard in a 6'10" body. We do realize that he's only 1 inch shorter than Dwight? What an amazing performance. For him alone I'm glad I watched the game. The one thing that I think hurt the Rookies is that Rose and Beasley (although Beasley did get it going) played last night and because of the intensity of the game last night and the intensity that was brought to this game they weren't able to perform all out, especially Rose. He was basically unheard of during the game and let the game flow to his teammates. Well that and Oden being hurt...

Been some heavy talk of Amare going to Cleveland for Wally's expiring/Hickson/1st... if that happens I may have to entertain some fix conspiracies. ...

Would LeBron force him to play D? Not like Ben Wallace is the defender he once was, but he's still good for covering a pick and roll and getting a rebound. But that would smell as bad as the Gasol trade...
