So the Americans get the Silver, but I don't know, theres no way the Chinese girls are 16 so I'm hoping for Gold eventually.

Re: Official Summer Olympics 2008 Thread
So, after watching the gymnastics group final, I have realized that I've been brainwashed into hating China and that my normal Canadian self (that normally does not like anything US related), is cheering for the US and hoping that the innocent/young (but commie ) chinese girls fall off the beam. Oh and for those of you still keeping track, Canada: 0 medals. WOOOO

I'd say the floor exercises definitely used to be more involving and artistically impressive, but that's about it. Like, the stuff Shawn and Nastia are doing on beams and uneven bars respectively is some crazy shit. Ugh, I really fucking hate that China gets that validation for using those 12 year old girls. It's borderline offensive. There was definitely wonky judging on the beam. Oh well, poor Alicia.

I don't really know how they would test, they've certainly forged enough documents to get them in I don't think they left any trace.

Of course they're not 16. They might be 14, but prolly 12 at best.

And then if memory serves me correctly she messed up on Floor in Barcelona. But she was injured, so we'll give her a pass. Not everyone can be Fujimoto in 76.

Re: Official Summer Olympics 2008 Thread
I think I'm more excited seeing Pang getting bronze in women 200 freestyle than girls winning gymnastics; that's a wonderful race, and all three broke the world record.
China is doing fantastically well in diving, weightlifting, and gymnastics, offsetting a little disappointment in shooting. Another like 10 golds are in play among badminton and table tennis. 40 golds still looks pretty reasonable. If they could continue to progress in swimming and track and field, look out.

Aww, I feel so bad for that American gymnast who bombed and cost America the gold. At least she's hotter than the rest. Like, much hotter.

I think we should start a thread. Who wins a medal first.
Benin, Burundi, canada or the favorit Burkina Faso.

Well, I can find it too, but only because I'm a geography nut. I mean, it's not like it's difficult to locate, unlike Rhodesia
