But, we all know how this stuff works... in June we'll probably be watching Orlando vs. New Orleans. Oh, and I know it's still early, but I'd like to point out that I said that Yao going down would not keep Houston from the playoffs, and so far that's looking like a very good call. I didn't think Mutombo could still play at age 62

 Re: NBA 2007-2008 season
Well we were playing the Magic hard until the 4th, when Rasho and Brezec were holding down Howard amazingly. Then Mitchell inexplicably decided Kris Humphries would guard him at the start of the quarter, and then when that failed replaced him with Bargnani. HUMPHRIES AND BARGNANI!??! Then Ford started chucking and the game pretty much fell away.

 Re: NBA 2007-2008 season
Rockets is catching a break: Dirk is suspended for a game. If they get past the Mavs, they could push the streak to 21 games before the tough 5-game stretch in 7 days (Lakers, Celtics, Hornets, Warriors, and Suns).

 Re: NBA 2007-2008 season
Heh, if Dallas loses tonight and Golden State wins, the Warriors will be ahead of them(by a couple percentage points mind you). What a twist!
edit - Oh Dallas doesn't play till tomorrow

 Re: NBA 2007-2008 season
The schedule for Dallas looks fine; 11 of their remaining 21 games are against the other top 8 teams in the West and the top 2 teams from the East, and only 4 of the 11 are on the road. The Suns should be more worrisome; 13 of their 22 games left are against the other 10 top teams, and 6 are on the road.
I'd love to see the first round matchup in the West end up to be Spurs/Mavs (rivalry), Lakers/Suns (Kobe/Shaq), Jazz/Warriors (250 points per game), and Rockets/Hornets (still think it's the best matchup for Rockets).

LeBron just drilled a moving fade away half court shot. Look for that one on Sportscenter.

Asserting their dominance.

I laugh at Boston destroying the Pistons in the 1st quarter... and then not keeping pace the rest of the way.
The end is gonna be GOOD!

geez, lebron. that talk of how kobes-mvp-over-him after kobe big game must made him go off.
lebron gets 50 points, 10 assists, 8 rebounds, n 4 steals. Kobes game 52/11/4/0.
there aint no question lebron is best in nba

Too bad Chris Paul is the MVP...
Yet almost nobody agrees.
I mean, honestly, how shitty would the New Orleans be without him? Extremely shitty.
Like... diarrhea shitty.

Honestly Shaq is even playing pretty good... Just the Suns without Marion are not the Suns What'll be scary is next year when Shaq is actually terrible! And Nash isn't getting younger either. This trade will be infamous.

 Re: NBA 2007-2008 season
Marion's points are being made up by Amare coming on strong and Shaq's 10-ish points. But Marion played SOLID defense. Shaq... doesn't.

 Re: NBA 2007-2008 season
Jesus Christ Houston? Even without Dirk, the Mavs were still 25-3 at home coming into this, and they got killed... It's creeping higher and higher on the all time winning streaks list. There's a bunch that got stuck at 17, if they get another they'll be right up there.
