 Re: 2012 NFL Discussion
I don't see it like that. Sure, they might have been one-possession victories or losses, but the Rams/ Giants games would've fallen in their favor if not for some late funky shit.

 Re: 2012 NFL Discussion
I guess. Maybe as a fan I'm biased, but I feel like they've held their own more in their losses more than their opponents have in their wins. Doesn't change the fact that their defense is terrible...and people will figure out AlMo sooner or later...but, eh, they're definitely better than, say, Cam Newton's 2011 Panthers.
Still, they've got late-00's Saints potential with the current defense. What RGIII lacks in targets he makes up thru his run game.
And, I actually think his crop of receivers is serviceable. Aldrick Robinson ran a 4.35 at the combine, identical to DeSean Jackson. He needs to step it up. Pierre Garcon can play both 'deep threat' and 'Wes Welker' as needed. Santana Moss, bless his old ass, will keep defenses honest (much like the other Moss on SF). We'll have Fred Davis back eventually (next year?). I don't know what to think of Hankerson or Morgan. I don't pretend to be a football expert (I really only started watching a few years ago)...but it seems like the challenge with Washington's offense might be keeping the run game honest. I love AlMo, but Washington's offense merits a RBBC with Heluuuu or something.

I mean, I get the Giants did it twice before and thats more than every other team has done recently, but the idea that they are going to do it again for sure is very misguided to me. Who is going to beat them? The Giants match up well with every team in the NFL. They have only lost close games to hungry teams that (probably) won't make the playoffs, with the exception of Cinci which was just a beatdown.

Steelers weren't really a "hungry" team at the time (Big Ben was healthy at that point). And that game was a lot closer than it really should have been. They also got very lucky against the Cowboys and Redskins on back-to-back weeks. Yeah, destroying Green Bay and San Francisco was impressive but just because they have two impressive wins doesn't mean they should be seen as this unbeatable team. Apparently the Steelers still aren't a hungry team.

Heck of a comeback by the Redskins and the Cowboys pull a comeback as well. The NFC East is crazy.

 Re: 2012 NFL Discussion
Yeah, NFC East is exciting. Too bad Eagles are the ones that aren't in the race, and on top of that, they finally win when we could get a nice draft pick. But a win does feel good after 8 weeks. And Nick Foles looks good.

Man, I hope Larry Fitzgerald can find a way to get the hell outta Arizona. That organization is like the black hole of the NFL. Fitz had 1 grab for 2 yards!! The man deserves much, much better.

I don't blame Fitz at all, management there is royally screwing him over.

He'll have to indure till they decide to trade him. If I were them I wouldn't trade him unless u get a great trade offer. 2-3 players plus drafts

Breaston is in Kansas City, although not helping them any. The Chiefs and Raiders are two other teams that seem to have problems right now. Luckily, each of those teams are one QB away from actually being a decent team. With parity the way it is now, you can be decent and make the playoffs.

Maybe even a second. The Bears got Marshall for like a 4th last year. If Washington had any picks left they'd be the favorites.

Heh... I suggested earlier this season the Pats should trade Welker and a pick for Fitz.
One can dream.

One can dream. Not like the Pats don't have enough offensive weapons as it is... Even if he stays in AZ and they draft a quarterback, are there any QBs that can come right in and help the team? I don't think so... Poor guy.

Geno Smith. But he won't fall that far.
Other than that, in this draft? Nobody.
