vetoed! Would have vetoed against it myself. Though Garnett for Sessions, which looks like its getting through, isn't any better.... looks like manu now out 4-6 week to injury, I definitely dodged a couple bullets first trading him away and then the trade trying to get him back being vetoed...may still be worth it for him even with the injury since Manu has been playing like a top 5 fantasy player when healthy. damn garnett for sessions trade, sessions started playing like crap right after trade got accepted while Garnett no longer plays like crap after the trade...maybe kg will get injured like manu to make the trade not be so lopsided too

That's why you don't trade good players away after three games. This was one of the most lopsided trades I saw ever go through in fantasy

Is Alex Y. still making dumb trades like he did in fantasy football?

They keep the draft spot you drafted them in ex Durant in round 1 would count as your round 1 pick for next 2 years. If you pick up a free agent or trade or something then you have to come up with which spots that would be in draft next year (in my football league its 5th round for a free agent keeper)...but every league varies on rules for free agent and trade keepers I guess I should've asked this before the trade went through, but since I traded for Ryan Anderson and shack's 13th round pick, I should have the right to select him as a keeper using shack's 13th round pick? or use my own 13th round pick? or because I traded for him rather than drafted him the keeper rule is different? (probably should have confirmed this before trading for shack's 13th pick which would be the only reason I trade for that pick) also are we set on exactly 2 keepers next year?

Draft pick trades have nothing to do with keepers, you just exchange the spots for next year's draft.
And yes, no more than two keepers

On another note: You really did drop Sessions after trading him for Garnett?????
@everybody: Should I as a commissioner step in the next time such a lopsided trade is done?

And yes, no more than two keepers so since I traded away my 12th round pick which was varejao this year, I will not be able to choose varejao next year as my keeper right (not intending to but just like to know for informational purposes for future trades)? regarding kg trade, during the first two games sessions was playing at a much higher level than kg, just that during and afterwards it immediately became apparent that was a fluke rather than a new pattern for this year. I had not anticipated that kg will get better stats when Paul pierce returned, mistaken to think his stats would fall even further. if rely on past seasons or may be obvious but then the David Lee-Ryan Anderson trade that just occurred would need to be vetoed too. I'm taking the risk that Ryan Anderson jumped to a higher level this year and that David Lee won't recover to past years stats with the new coach, but if they revert back to past seasons level then this trade is more lopsided than the kg one.

Re: WOKJ NBA Fantasy League 11/12 (Drafted!)
From Yahoo rules Quote: There are numerous formats to choose from so the league should decide which type is best for them. Leagues can decide how many players each team can keep and the deadline to declare keepers. Some common formats: Keep a player, lose a draft pick Keep a player but lose a draft pick two rounds higher than that player's original draft round In an auction league, keep a player below the league's salary cap Keep any player you want My proposal is b with a small change: If you keep a player, you lose a draft pick two rounds higher. However: If you traded the one away, you lose the next higher trade pick

However: If you traded the one away, you lose the next higher trade pick not sure about losing 2 draft picks higher, so keeping a steal in the 3rd means you lose a 1st, what do you do with a 1st and a 2nd. Keepers should be that you get to use the same draft pick you got them with, it rewards people who find a hidden gem this year and then gets a steal next year. However if you trade away the pick you drafted your potential keeper with then yes it should count at the next highest draft pick. So if your keeper was round 10, but you trade away your 10th pick then your keeper should count as round 9 instead keepers are only based on who is on your team at the end of the year roster Also on the offbeat chance someone keeps a player that was never drafted you need to make a round a default keeper round for undrafted players, like round 3 or 4 or something

Okay, same round is fine with me.
But if you keep a waiver-wire pick it should count as the round he was originally drafted (if he went undrafted it would be a last-rounder, everything else would be unfair I think)

I didn't even realize I sent a draft pick in that deal. Good thing you didn't ask for top 3

yea waiver wire pick ups would count as draft posistion as well as trades...just the undrafted that have special rules around them, make up a round to keep em

d'oh! Didn't start LeBron today. Luckily it ended up helping me, due to the personal foul category.

Le sigh... looks like another bottom 3 year for me. Curry's ankles are made of Oden's knees

Why can't you drop players and pickup players to be used the day of.
I want to drop some today but the transaction won't go in effect till Monday.

Wade for Monroe? Really? You are in first place though. Maybe there is a method to this madness.

Oh I didn't realize Wade was hurt. Monroe has been playing great, but he's still a second year player and second year players are always inconsistent.
