I'm still shocked Phil is that high.

He did win last month, and his last major was just over a year ago.

And every other event he finishes worse than the 12th ranked player in the world.

Though I can't claim to understand the mechanics of the World Golf Ranking system well enough to fully justify his placement, Phil has had a reasonably good performance over the past two years which included four wins, three 2nd place finishes, and thirteen top ten finishes and earnings of almost $10 million in prize money. I suspect many of the top golfers in the world would trade their record in the same time period for Phil's.

Many would trade their record in for Tiger's too.
