I've basically written these Olympics off. I blame Vancouver and Stephen Harper.

 Re: Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympics
lol, the funny thing is Prime Minister Stephen Harper suspended parliament from Dec til until after the Olympics to get a boost in the polls.
He assumed Canada would own the podium and the men would win hockey gold, and there would be a new era of "good feelings" in Canada, so than people would support the governing party in the next elections.
lol American politics is pathetic but ours isn't much better.

No, the Russians didn't belong anywhere near that podium.

 Re: Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympics
lol everyone just hates the Russians for their past dominance of figure skating.
Imo the Russian last skate was stronger than the 4th place Americans, much more intense and more moves. It was nothing compared to the top 2. Yeah, the Canadian pair looked great, they were truly meant to skate together. They are truly one...
However, all the women skaters looked hot, especially the 4th place American...

 Re: Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympics
Virtue and Moir were incredible! All of the skaters are great, but Tessa and Scott really have a passion behind their performances (and they are so perfectly in sync). Canada was above and beyond here!! Simply gives me chills. Wooooot native Londoner!! Who cares about the crappy hockey team! Peace, Mike

 Re: Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympics
The Americans were far more intense.
However the Canadians were so elegant and beautiful skating together, unlike any of the other skaters. I think that is why they won...

 Re: Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympics
I really loved their performance. It was a privilege to watch. And I'm very happy for the Americans too. Lovely couple. Both well deserved!

From the music selection (brilliant) to their costumes to their chemistry, everything about their final performance was in harmony. They moved me; no other performance did that. Moreover, we can't forget that this is a three part competition. The Canadians also won because they are consistently technically perfect and all around in sync with each other. Did you see their tango? It was really impressive. Peace, Mike

Ok, I didn't know about Kramer being disqualified. Wow. And what an amateurish mistake.

Canada coming out strong... I'm assuming to try and rest during the 3rd period. As they will have to play Russia TOMORROW.
