lol... now this is just embarrasing. I can't even feel pained for it, it's just sad enough to laugh at. 30 points+ right now.
Last game we somewhat competed but NJ beat us, this game the wheels just fell off. No-one has shown up at all, no energy or enthusiasm at all, it's like they don't even care anymore.
Haven't seen the team this pitiful in ever, the plays are consisting of random playing dribbling up and attempting to shoot. In the season Tor. probably had as much of a ball movement and balanced attack game as anyone, there's been none of that here.
Think we can challenge in Game 5, but the season's over anyways since we don't even compete in the swamp. Fun start to hopefully a string of playoff competing. Bargs and the rest of the supporting gang developing a lot next year will help. All the super young guys didn't show up at all during the series.
Go Warriors!

And that'll do it... not having supporting options show up pretty much cripples the whole boat, now NJ has the option of just collapsing defenders down Bosh and Parker's throat to stop threats... in the season that always meant an open man to score, it has an 8-9 man machine, in the playoffs it's completley different.. they were why Toronto was better than NJ in the season, and without them we get fucked in the ass.

This is a must win game for the MAVS. They have to win or their season is pretty much over.
After 1 the Mavs have a 6 point lead.

If Dallas loses tonight, they'll probably win Game 5, but lose Game 6.

it's over our playoff is done.
first Miami get's swept, and now Dallas can't even beat an 8th seed.
and the worst thing is they're gonna beat us in our house. just like Miami did to win it all last year.
I'M SOOOO FUCKING ANGRY!!!

What a game. Dirk Nowitzki will be the worst MVP winner in the history of the NBA. I'm actually happy to see him take shots for the Mavericks against the Warriors, knowing that he will miss shots more often than Howard, Stackhouse, or Terry.

I could've sworn LA had a better record than GS...
I guarantee Phoenix will beat GS in the next round!

Yep. This will be the first year where I really disagree with the MVP awarding, even over Nash and Duncan stealing one more than they should've. Dirk just... isn't the most valuable player. He takes jump shots and grabs rebounds, he puts the best stats on the best team, but he isn't the best and he isn't the most valuable. I mean, look at what Nash did today against L.A. Or Lebron. Or Kobe. Or Duncan. I would have Dirk as 5th. Nash carries games, he dominates, he controls and beats teams himself. Dirk is good at jumpshots and free throw shooting.

Just because you have the best record doesn't mean you're the best team as the Mavs are proving.
Nash deserves it, much more than he did last year.

The GSW are just a great example of a team that wants it more and is playing great team ball... and they're doing a lot of it on the defensive end as they frustrate the shit out of the Mavericks. It's like night and day when you look at their body language compared to the Mavs... the GSW players are tons more confident and relaxed, whereas most of the Mavs look tight and appear to have no confidence. They're a fun team to watch, but I'm actually enjoying watching Mark Cuban getting it stuck to him more than anything.
And I think that video game analysis that Kill posted a while back could be amazingly accurate. Remember it picked the Warriors and Pistons in the finals with the Pistons winning? It's looking more and more like that could possibly happen. It just goes to show that video games can teach you everything you need to know.
As for Raps vs. NJ... I still think this series is more about Toronto being in over their heads than it is about NJ being a great playoff team, but I guess we'll see when NJ goes up against Cleveland.
Barring any major upsets, I think we have a pretty clear picture of our next round - with the exception of the Utah and Houston game:
Pistons vs. Bulls
Cleveland vs. NJ
Warriors vs. Utah/Houston
Phoenix vs. San Antonio
If everything stays as it is, I'd pick Pistons, Cleveland, Warriors (against either opponent), and San Antonio.

And as Detroit proved last year when they were 64-18.
The GSW win reminds me a little bit of when Detroit beat the Lakers in the finals of 2004. Detroit played aggresive team ball and just looked hungrier against the Lakers, who on paper were far superior. They frustrated them so bad that it ruined the entire organization for years. That could well happen to Dallas if GSW complete this series.
