We were talking about it briefly two and a half hours ago and had moved on, but we can go back.

Yankees last World Series Title, 2009 - or 1 season ago!
Red Sox, last World Series Title, 2007 - or 3 season ago!

So I am fine with having Football and Baseball and you can have Basketball and Hockey! As you want to live in the Present!

I am. I've been celebrating the past week. Are you still celebrating a year and a half later from the Yankees win? :funny:

Thanks for posting another chart where the New York Giants are better than the Patriots.

and again since we are in the baseball thread, and you live in the present...

2009 - Yankees World Series Championship. Red Sox, who cares as under the Yankees.
2010 - Yankees in Playoffs Again. Red Sox No Playoffs
2011 - Both teams have the Same amount of Losses. Now lets see how the rest of the year plays out.

So enjoying alot more than just 2009. Yankees Winning. Red Sox Stinking.

I don't remember posting another chart that compared the two teams. I also don't remember comparing the Giants or the Patriots.

2010 - Yankees lose ALCS in 6
2011 - Red Sox up 1 game on the Yankees

You're goading again Grill. How do the Red Sox stink when they're in first place and ahead of the Yankees? At least be factual.

And I'll ask again, when have ever said the Yankees were a bad team this year? Again, those of us who were speculating about them were wondering whether or not they'd be able to hold up into October, not into June.

I have been very factual on the Yankees

>>> 2011 - Both teams have the Same amount of Losses. Now lets see how the rest of the year plays out.

Especially since I have always said that losses are all that matters, until teams make up extra games!

and sorry but the Red Sox Stunk Tonight, losing to 2nd worst team in the league, and Yankees won their last game played.

so Truth, Not Goading at all. And didn't you imply that good teams shouldn't lose to bad teams, when you commented about the Yankees losing to a 5th Place team.

and I am looking forward to the Red Sox next 9 games on the road, where they have to play without their DH and let their pitcher hit. Hopefully Beckett will be back to bat against the Phillies pitchers. But I bet Beckett doesn't hit any during that series.

No. I was laughing that they lost to a bad team. It does happen though. As Gun pointed out to you (which you seemed to gloss over for some reason) the Red Sox lost to Baltimore this year.

Three in Pittsburgh, three in Philly, three in Houston; I think they'll be fine.

Why? Want to see him get hit? Weren't you the one who gave me a hard time in the NHL thread about me wanting the Bruins to retaliate for the bite and mock bite in Vancouver? Being a bit of a hypocrite aren't we? Not unless you want to see his bating skills for some reason.

Nope, he only pitches against the Pirates and Astros. I'd much rather him face the Phillies since they're actually good, but moving him out of his set spot would be an awful idea. He's pitched well this year and they don't need to go fucking around with him.

He had some sort of bug that caused him to miss his last start. He's not injured.

Nice to see the Yankees continuing to play great ball, with numbers that are near the top of hitting and pitching team categories.

And now that some Yankees are heating up, the team average is climbing: Arod, Cano, Granderson, Gardner, etc...

And Garcia pitching another very good game through 7 innings.

Well a loss in Game 2. Don't understand the line-up. Against a tough righty, they sit Cano and Posoda, and play all these right handed batter.

At least back to even in losses with the Red Sox.

Justin Upton is making a serious case to be an MVP candidate.

Hi Chippy, Welcome Back, I missed you!

Anyway, thanks, it was a very good game. But as the Yankees got back 1st Place from the Red Sox earlier in the day, the Reds sent one of the best pitchers in the league against them. Johnny Cueto who has the lowest ERA, 1.63, of any pitcher in MLB, who has started a game. WOW! But I guess that is what it takes to beat the Yankees, now a days!

Hey like I said, you can't win all 162, but they are still tied with the Red Sox in losses. So no compaints!

Really, I am not sure as Upton, isn't even in the Top 10 in Average, Homers or RBIs.

Right now I would say Prince Fielder for a team in contention or Matt Kemp for a player whose team isn't in contention. Or Jose Reyes would is leading the league in average and the all important runs scored.

OK as both are on 1st Place teams....

Brewers - Prince Fielder - 20 Homers. 63 RBIs and 306 Batting Average - WINNER! 1ST ROUND TKO!

vs

Diamondbacks - Justin Upton - 12 - 39 and 304 Batting Average

Just noticed Victor Martinez is having a great year. Hitting 333 with 40 + RBIs. Wonder if the Red Sox should have signed him?

I agree on Fielder for MVP so far. As for AL, well, Bautista was on a tear early, but Grandy is getting there.

One weird game against the Dodgers. We get picked off 6 times in the first 3 innings, and yet, we still magically win the game. Only during the Freeway do the Angels see strange games like these.

Haven't been paying attention to him since he was traded to B-Town, but he put up those numbers on the Tribe almost every year.

On a side note, Carlos Santana had one of the weirdest nights ever. Were it not for his two RBIs, the Indians would not have been in the game. Yet if not for his two errors they would have won.

Yankees Playing a Great Early Game looking to tie the Red Sox Again...

And Wakefield up next to try to stop a 4 game Red Sox losing streak...but the Red Sox are up against a pretty good pitcher, Jeff Karstens.

Just Saying, for such a great team, per Red Sox fans, the Red Sox sure are going through alot of losing streaks this year. Has it been 5 or 6 already, of 3 games or more?

Why would you include two teams with New Jersey in their name? The Giants and Jets at least started in New York. The Devils and Nets never have. Even if they're a short distance outside of the city, they're still outside of the state and therefore don't count.

What about the poor people of New Jersey wanting credit Grill? :funny:

Since no more Red Sox talk, until they win a game and Red Sox fans come back.

I was wondering...Are any New England states allowed to claim the Patriots as their team?

Especially Rhode Island, who is about 15 Milles away from where the Patriots play.
