Seems fine to me. Hamilton scores more points on a consistent basis, but doesn't really contribute anything else. Both are coming off injuries and missed a lot of games, so hard to know what their average performance will be, and Howard had a higher pre-season ranking.

The other trade actually feels more lopsided (in Alex's favor) to me, as Davis and Bargnani have consistently outperformed the counterpart in rankings across the board. Evans is first a rookie, and then I always have the concern of what will happen when Martin comes back.

Well Bargnani and Zbo are level on yahoo's rankings at around 30th. I need Zbo's rebounding and good FG% more than Bargnani's 3pters and blocks with the rest of my roster taken into account.

Baron is ranked higher than Tyreke (30th to 50thish) because it's important for perimeter players to hit 3s. But I have a C (Frye) who's top 5 in the league in 3s and Baron assassinates my FG% category every week so I'm not going to sweat it. Zbo and Tyreke (and Hamilton) should give me a much needed influx of pts and high volume efficiency

I dare anyone to try to vote down the Andrea Bargnani + Baron Davis / Tyreke Evans + Zach Randolph trade. No one cares enough to vote down lopsided trades.

I'm rejecting trades & not making any changes till I lose a match.

Yes! My reverse psychology worked! I initially accepted the trade for the same reasons as xiayun's reasonings of an upgrade for higher rankings and to prepare for Kevin Martin coming back. But ever since I accepted the trade, I have been regretting it throughout the day and really wanted to get it canceled. Sorry Shack, I shouldn't have accepted the trade in the first place, also your post in this thread just further made me regret accepting this trade even more.

Zach Randolph is just too much of a beast to give up for, he is very responsible for my winning several of the categories especially and even though it may be irrational, I still value him as highly as, say, Pau Gasol's calibre (after all, Memphis's front office seems to value Randolph more than Gasol).

Andrea Bargnani seems to be on a downward trend and I have no idea why Bargnani is ranked higher than Zach just based on their average stats. I don't know much about Bargnani but my instinct seems to be that he is not that special a player, and I won't get the same delight I would get from Randolph checking his daily stats. This is the primary basis I wanted the trade cancelled.

My initial trade request was to trade Tyreke for Baron (which got rejected). Baron Davis was someone I really liked when he was on Golden State Warriors as I followed his progress while locally in Berkeley. I am back home in LA now and also sometimes catch him on tv on the Clippers and have even seen him in person a couple times in Clipper games. My fantasy team doesn't have any LA players, so he would be a great local fantasy player to root for while as I could watch all their games.

Also, even though conventional wisdom is that now is supposedly the time to sell Tyreke Evans "high" before Kevin Martin's return, I still feel like he may not have reached his max potential. Unlike Brandon Jennings whose offensive output seem to have diminished now that teams plan their defense against him, Tyreke's output has only been steadily improving despite opposing teams knowing he's the real deal. I truly forsee Tyreke becoming a superstar just a notch below Dwayne Wade and Chris Paul based on how he's been playing and improving. I'm hoping now that Kevin Martin's return, even if it reduces Tyreke's minutes and shots, will provide the benefits of increased assists and improved shot selection %. So from a personal enjoyment standpoint, I may prefer Baron Davis than Tyreke Evans on my team, but based on future potential it may not be an even trade.

Richard Hamilton for Josh Howard? Not even considering the injury risk of Howard this is as lopsided as it gets

I did not want to comment on this until the trade went through (which it now did). When both Richard Hamilton and Josh Howard were out injured on the waiver wire, I picked up Hamilton because Yahoo said he was going to return soon while Howard was still on indefinite hiatus. When a couple days later Yahoo said Howard was immediately going to return while Hamilton was still out, I hesitated on who I was going to drop and didn't get to pick up Howard in time. My decision then would have been to drop Hamilton to get Howard if I had done it before Shack did.

I feel that Hamilton's stats this season are inflated based on injuries to Ben Gordon and Will Bynum and are not representative of the rest of the season. To me Hamilton is an even greater injury risk than Howard, for instance he wasn't able to play Wednesday's game after he re-injured himself on Tuesday. Detroit players seem to always get injured moreso than even Dallas, so Howard seemed like a lesser risk of two risky players.

How does a trade get veteod... isn't it a review system taking 3-4 to vote against it at once? Or does the game manager (Levy) just have supreme power...

Actually, I have. But if I'd used it, I would have vetoed the other trade :funny:

It takes three players to veto the trade, once that happens within the trade review time it is done

Thanks for not vetoing the other trade, hope it works out for me.

Hope the trade works out. The team has been in a nice rhythm the last several weeks, and Nene has been one of the most consistent players, especially on blocks, FG%, and rebounding, so it's certainly not easy to pull the trigger.

Just for my own curiosity, I wanted to count the distribution of the number of owned fantasy players for each franchise, as a measure of how deep each NBA team is and to see if there is any correlation with how well the team is doing.

13 fantasy players * 12 fantasy teams = 169 players (avg 5.63 players/franchise)

ATL - 7
DAL - 7
DET - 7
HOU - 7

BOS - 6
DEN - 6
NY - 6
PHI - 6
PHO - 6
POR - 6
UTA - 6

CHA - 5
CHI - 5
GS - 5
IND - 5
LAC - 5
LAL - 5
MEM - 5
NO - 5
OKC - 5
ORL - 5
SAC - 5

CLE - 4
MIA - 4
MIL - 4
MIN - 4
SA - 4
TOR - 4
WAS - 4

NJ - 3

No surprise that NJ is at the bottom, it does seem that many of the teams that are disappointing this year while the surprise teams seem to have above-average number of owned fantasy players.

Levy and I did a trade last week exchanging Trevor Ariza for Aaron Brooks, and we are facing off this week. So I wanted to compare their stat lines for last night:
PlayerMINFG%FT%3PTMPTSOREBDREBASTSTBLKTOPF
Aaron Brooks2325.00%66.70%171010001
Trevor Ariza3518.20%50.00%071361213
This table brought to you by Excel2BB Converter. Created by Krem for World of KJ

I can't decide which player did worse last night. I guess it was an even trade of trash for trash.

Man Alex, your team is tough. I got a superb night from West and Rose, but still trailing 4-7. At least most categories are close, but it could also mean I could lose 2-10 in the end.
