 Re: NBA 2008-2009 season
WTF is happening to the Celtics? Don't get me wrong, I like seeing them lose, but dropping 4 of their last 6 (2 of which were against below average teams) is definitely odd.

 Re: NBA 2008-2009 season
I don't know what's more astonishing, two straight wins against top teams without Calderon and JO, or Bargnani having 3 18 point+ and good shooting games in a row. ummmmm
I guess not giving PG penetration every play can pick up your team. Though if Calderon can finally get healthy hopefully that problem won't be as grotesque.
Roko Ukic is the man. I wish he was a 21 year old doing this instead of at 24, but regardless he's one of the more underrated rookies this year because of a lack of minutes, he has definite starter potential in the future once he figures out a jumpshot. He can already penetrate and defend much better than Calderon

Lost to Charlotte?
Back to my team, Rockets are looking terrible. Even when they finally get Artest back and have everyone playing, I still have doubt. With injury trouble to Nuggets, Jazz, and Blazers, they could probably survive to get in the playoff, but the last few games are discouraging.

 Re: NBA 2008-2009 season
The Celtics losing to the Bobcats was bound to happen. They've always played us tough for some reason but they've never seem to be able to beat us. They caught us at the right time.

 Re: NBA 2008-2009 season
At this rate the Raptors will be fighting for the division crown by April! On a realistic note though... maybe the Celtics hold won't be so inpenetratable by next year if some trades go our way?

 Re: NBA 2008-2009 season
Ron Artest might start in the All-Star Game, depending on if he can catch up to Carmelo in time:
Western Forwards: 1) Tim Duncan (SA) 1,454,918 (+323k from last voting returns) 2) Carmelo Anthony (Den) 905,121 (+180k) 3) Amare Stoudemire (Pho) 894,690 (+151k) 4) Ron Artest (Hou) 890,992 (+228k)
Yi doesn't look like he'll catch up to Garnett
Eastern Forwards: 1) LeBron James (Clev) 1,940,162 (+419k) 2) Kevin Garnett (Bos) 1,375,814 (+274k) 3) Yi Jianlian (NJ) 1,216,348 (+257k)

 Re: NBA 2008-2009 season
Rondo is playing some really fucking awful basketball right now. At this point the Celtics would almost be better off benching him and taking their chances with House. And the Celtics are trying too much to create offense. They're passing wide open shots to keep the ball moving. They're not taking what Cleveland is giving them. It's a miracle they have 56 points at this point. And it's a miracle the Celtics are still in the game.

 Re: NBA 2008-2009 season
I'm happy Boston didn't win tonight. Orlando would've had the top record in the East if they did. That just feels wrong
Well if there's any good time for a home and home with Boston, it's now. Still a bit scared they take their anger out on us though. I just want a split.

 Re: NBA 2008-2009 season
Well that sucked
Calderon uber slowball is the worst thing to take advantage of Boston's weaknesses right now (inability to stop the run). Ukic almost erased a 20 point lead at the end

 Re: NBA 2008-2009 season
ah my heart's gonna take a beating this game. All I ask is one win from the Celtics a year. I want this one : (
Ukic is the truth
I think we've had a double digit lead in like every game this year. Well not every game but probably something like 30 of the 39 games. And we're 16-22

 Re: NBA 2008-2009 season
ah it was a good effort. Just bad d in overtime and Bosh was a pussy the entire 2nd. But if Kapono made that 3! Ukic should've played the late 4th/OT too, though.

 Re: NBA 2008-2009 season
Quote: Knicks center Eddy Curry was slapped with a shocking sex-harassment suit Monday by his former driver, who claims the 6-foot-11 hoopster tried to solicit gay sex from him.
The stunning court papers claim Curry, a married father of three, repeatedly approached chauffeur David Kuchinsky "in the nude," allegedly telling him, "Look at me, Dave, look" and "Come and touch it, Dave."
Curry also made Kuchinsky perform "humiliating tasks outside the scope of his employment, such as cleaning up and removing dirty towels [Curry had ejaculated into] so that his wife would not see them," the Manhattan federal court suit says.
Kuchinsky, who is straight and Jewish, also alleges racial discrimination, saying that Curry hurled slurs at him including "f---ing Jew," "cracker," "white slave," "white devil" and "grandmaster of the KKK." http://www.nypost.com/seven/01122009/ne ... 149861.htmBest news report... ever EVER
